Hey guys. Reaching out tonight for some help. Seriously depressed but what can you do. My whole app got sent back in the mail today Hoping you all can help me. This is what the letter states:

1) Your husband has another child under 22 years of age. He must be listed on the IMM8 as non-accompanying dependent. I had put him on the additional family members IMM5406.
2) Passport size photos for the child.......rah rah rah This must be received at this office by 06/21/2012???? that is the same date at the top of my letter, which has already come and gone????? Also why are they not asking for his daughters photos as we never sent those in either?
3)An original Medical report form for my husband and all dependents-This is what I figured it would get sent back for so I am asking how to get this done. I have the forms printed from the internet and the addresses in JA where he can go but does he just take them in and what info or documents do they need? How much is the medical and how long will it take to get it back?

Also what about their birth certificates(children) we never submitted these either so why aren't they asking for them too?

Hey Chicki, as frustrating as this is, Charlie is right... It will be fast tracked when you resend your application back. I believe the same thing happened to Ali so hang in there girl.... we are here for you <3

thats my fear...as confident as i think i am with the application i sent it...never know....but a guy i work with sending for his wife from china...he was missing one signature they sent back package, but soon as he sent it back in...with a couple weeks, he was approved...so the girls are right chickie....u wont have to go through this wait crap again...and good thing u going down soon cause least u can be there to ensure u get what u need and asap.

1. Don't worry about the return date, just get everything they ask for added to the package. Also, your file will not go to the back of the line when you send it back, there should be a name on the letter for you to address it to specifically, they will pick up from where it was left off.

2. Get photos for ALL dependents, accompanying or non-accompanying. Never mind that they didn't ask for it, just do it. It is better to over-provide than under-provide.

3. Medicals must be done for your husband and the children. He might have heard from persons who went through the Skilled Worker programme, in which case they have to wait until they are told to do the medical. Family class is different. If he is in Kingston, he can go to Dr Richard Gomes, his information is on the DMP listing for Jamaica. Everyone needs 4 photos and their passport. The total cost for the medicals was $8,600 per person when I re-did mine in March of this year. Dr Gomes is VERY efficient and he does these medicals all the time. Within 3 weeks of doing over my medical, KG was calling me to bring in my passport, which means he submitted it immediately. Dr Gomes will give him a copy of a form showing he did the medical, so that is what you will put in the application.

OMG the kids need their passports right away to do their medicals?????

I phoned CIC this morning and asked about the date, they said because they sent the entire application back they didn't put a return date on it, that is only if they are waiting for 1 or 2 documents they do that. So basically I have to get everything going and done while in Jamaica when I go down on July 13th.

Step 1-put hubbys name on daughters birth certificate. Correct his name on his son's birth certificate. (in the star yesterday I seen a posting that Jamaica was offering to add fathers particulars to birth certificates for free from June something to June 22nd?????? Why didn't i see that before???)
Step 2-get mother to sign consent form for daughter to come to Canada with him (she has no problem doing this, for that I am thankful, she is wonderful about this whole thing)
Step 3-Get passports for both children. (why does son need passport when he is not coming to Canada?)
Step 4-Get medicals done for all 3-hubby daughter and son.

Lord heaven help me.....not sure if missing anything else but basically this is what I have to do. Pray for me!

Congrats to Blondie and Ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah everything is perfect now. The three of us will basically be in Kingston at the same time (our paperwork i mean) (and as soon as I get my &*#$ together LOL)

Chickie, it sounds like you have all the steps down. A passport is required for identification, even if the child is non-accompanying. In Jamaica, it is also pretty much the only official ID document a minor can get, so it makes sense for him to get the children their passports anyways.

There are rush options available from PICA for processing passports, by the way. I changed my passport to my married name with 1 day service. Cost me $7,500 but I had my passport back in my hand the very next day, and on the day I went in to get the documents looked over and verified, I spent about 2 hours total, because I went there at 7:45 in the morning. PICA is very efficient that way, one of the only government agencies I can say that about from personal experience. Thanks for the help Charlie, printed off the passport apps and an extra just in case! LOL Do you know what ID they need to get passport?

I got mine from mississauga.... i swear right now I feel like
running up to the office and asking which one of them have my file and hugging that person lol
