tintin-I am going on 6 months now since I filed my paperwork, still just patiently waiting...KGN recieved it in October and I havent seen any new updates as of yet :-[

My luck thus far with this process has been non-existent! But, just because I'm salt right now, doesn't mean you are going to experience the same issues. I could very well be at the end of the backlog and you're husband's check goes through in a couple of months.

Thanks @suki that really makes my day but we phone Mississauga today still no confirmation of the payment yet.but Kingston sent us an email saying as soon as they recieve it they will call me to pickup my pp if it get to them before the 8th.hence if not ill have to redo meds and police record and continue processing.so its a Mississauga thing now.

I read earlier about those waiting for hubbies who've lived in Canada already...and it does seem rather bleak. There is one girl on this forum waiting fourteen months right now. I seriously hope they get that fixed soon so you guys can be reunited with your families. Rooting for you all! And you never know with immigration...they could call tommorow so don't get discouraged! Wishing the best for you all!

update: got a letter stating we gotta submit an FBI records check because x amount of time was spent living in the States.


So I guess this is gonna definitely result in a delay.

Green1074 - it is taking about 8-12 weeks nowadays for the FBI check, I suggest you get on it ASAP.

Tintin79 - KG takes about an average of 2-3 months to do the initial review after they have entered the file on the system. Sometimes they can do it as quickly as within a month, though.

witty - you're about ready to leave, get that itinerary sorted!
