My non-accompanying dependent is unwilling to undergo a medical examination. Is it possible to have him/her exempted?
It may be possible to have said dependent exempted. However, this dependent will not be eligible for subsequent sponsorship as a member of the Family Class.
What if your non-accompanying dependents do not want to undergo the medical examination?
If a non-accompanying dependent declines to undergo the medical examination, the visa office may exempt the person from taking the test. However, such non-accompanying dependents may not be eligible for subsequent sponsorship for permanent residence in Canada under the Family category.
