I was also asked for the ARC fee and Removal fees and the letter and med re-do....We handed it all in January 7th.

Soso- I cant even get across the border by vehicle without getting a visa and i am a british citizen with a PR card. I have only got a visa by going to cross the border at Niagra Falls and then they make me go wait in a room full of canadian immigrants or visitors who want to go to America. I had to wait 5 hours one time - it was a saturday around noon. They took my photos took a eye scan and took my finger prints.

I would totally recommend applying for a visa before going to the border as Frequent requested. It will make things so much easier and avoid the long line up and wait. I dont know how long the visa will be issued for a jamaican but my visa was issued for six months meaning i could travel back and forth from canada to america without having to apply for another visa.

Jamwifey - i am in one peice and feeling nice but hubby not so much LOL... i just introduced him to gravol - which is a tablet you take for upset stomach which in my opinion is a life saver- he said the only thing he has ever taken is andrews packets - i am sure you are familiar - you put it in water and it fizzes up and u drink it.... hubbies stomach must be rotted out because he never ever takes medication..... im with you LCW.... his bad... no sympathy lol take it like a man....

on a more positive note tho... super glad your hubby is getting better... i can only imagine how you feel having hubby sick and not having the ability to be there for him..... soon time!

hubby picked up a new sayings while in mexico from hanging out with some americans.....his new saying is... awesome dude....everything is either awesome... or if he is talking to a guy its awseome dude... you dont even know how strange it is hearing him say it... it doesnt sound right at all but he loves it... that saying was popular when the simpsons first came out who knows how long ago... and another expression he picked up but he hates saying it and cusses himself everytime it slips out.. is the saying freaking out.... for example.... some one was yelling at a worker at the resort in mexico and hubby said... boy she a freak out pon him.... he thinks the word freak out or freaking out has a bad meaning to it... something similar to the activity of a blue movie star!

LOL tht is some funny stuff KC..talking about hubbies talking canadian ...lol the only bad comment my hsuband ever picked up was any time something bad would have he would go "*uck* lol ....and the funny thing is he still does that today....

Well I just wanted to check in with everyone and say "HI"....working 13 days straight and not much time for anything else....I hope everyone is good and we keep having more updates. I pray everyday for something to happen with my file too....selfish I know ...but I really want some kind of news soon.

Yeah I don't want to risk going and then be denied or have to wait 5 hours.
It is good that they can issue you one right then and there. I wonder if it's the same for Jamaicans. My Husbands father and cousins live in the states and I would love to drive down to see them.

Even if we go to just get it, would be worth it for 6 months validity. Do you remember the cost by chance.....????

Hi ladies and gents I’m still in shock..ouf…couldn’t fall asleep last night!

Lonely: Yes my husband was in Canada on a work visa from May 08 2008-October 22 2008. We have no children and this is our first marriage.

I will update trackitt after this post thanks for reminding me!

KC-He flies out of MBJ, found a flight for $328 on feb 26th,he would stop In Toronto and then take a connecting flight to Moncton.
No I had not sent originals,only photocopies as requested.

What a great 2 days…been celebrating with friends and family..a little too much maybe lol…I had to check with my husband again this morning and say are you sure they said your name in the message?? Lol

I just wanted to thank everyone for their support in the last months…you are so full of helpful information I would not have been able to do this without all of you..thank you so much I cannot wait to celebrate all of your great news too!!

Jamwifey, I know we are very close in timelines so lets hope for some news soon!!  And to everyone who have been waiting so long I pray for some great news soon!

Jam: Sounds like hubby had same procedure as me. He should thank you for pushing him to the hospital. I wish I hadn't ignored my symptoms as baby side effects - could have saved me a lot of inconvenience and fright!

KC: Thanks for heeding my call on the status update. You have me in 2 places though. AOR received, original docs, police cert and medical redo requested is correct.

Hubby is set to make the crazy trip from MB to KG between evening shifts on Tuesday to pick up police certificate and drop everything off at CHC. He s still going to try to leave PP even though LCW's hubby was not permitted. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

LCW: February 14 is quite the date for your BF. Hopefully you get PPR same day. I was hoping police certificate request was a formality, but appears from your experiance we may be in same boat about the additional check. On the bright side of it, even if T & T is on the slower side, medical should be posted to file by time security check complete.

Hubby joked other day did not want to come til end of April so winter over...sounds like he may get his wish. I guess I will start looking for flights for our boy and I to visit at the end of March for our anniversary. If everything works out maybe we can even bring daddy home with us!
