lilmaya... I was approved as a sponsor on july 6 then my file was received by kingston on july 13 and hubby got the AOR on november 3... then he received the doc request on the same day.... but it was 2 different letters... then my status on ecas changed to medical results received on jan. 25 then it was tooken off a few days after.... my husband got a call from kingston on feb. 3 letting him know that they were finalising his stuff but they had misplaced the medical examination paper... they asked him for the MD number that was on the paper and the lady said she would call back soon for passport drop off... and nothing since... I faxed, emailed and nothing.... me and my MP talked and agreed ill order the caips notes... then when I called ottawa where they do the caips the lady said I should order the medical file as well... so I am waiting I just send it off on monday.... they told me they process caips notes within 30 days of them receiving it... so I am waiting to see whats up

i miss the computer i am mad bad that our laptop wont work out in the bush no more oh well..
i am in mo bay at my husbands cousins house..just ate kfc and i think i am gunna puke oh gawd..
mi shoulda know that i couldnt manage the damn stuffs well him cousin have the internet so i am suing it ..i get to go on facebook yahooe everyone is outside pan the veranda smoking them splifs cigarettes YUCK.i am so sick of the smell of ganja it naw funny..BARF!
i slept inna my sister in laws room at momma yaad 2 night inna row cause my hubby sits outside till all like 2 am bunnin trees with his bredda them ...someboddy need fi stop bun! dat mi a seh!

Congrats Butterfly.... That is great news. and you application went really quick. That is some hope for thsoe who are filling. And welcome to the pregnancy club... I am due in 5 WEEKS! There are a lot of us that are pregnant, just had babies or are trying... Very happy for you and I wish you the best of pregnancies.

Nae LOL.. i was the exact same way...I had a nose like a dog.... I couldnt stand the smell of cheap dish soap so I had to always buy the expensive kind, I also couldnt stand the smell of meat being cooked anymore, so poor hubby has been a vegetarian with me since I no longer allow meat to be cooked in the house.. ITAL kitchen we have now. we go out every two weeks so that he can get all the meat he likes. So, like i said, i was the same way in the beginning and I asked my midwife why that happens and she said its a natural thing that happens to pregnant women, main reason is to prevent ourselves from being around toxins and things like that, that could possibly harm us and the baby. Our body goes into a serious protection mode - who would have thought.

Canuck - Trust me i know, I have been doing some research on how much it costs to get hair done here in Canada and I hope to god my little daughter likes her hair and doesnt demand a weave when she gets to be a little women.. cuz i will have to start a weave fund from NOW. Up to 1,000.00 CAN for a real hair weave. CHO! lol

kc - OMG it's so awful!!! this is my second pregnancy, I was the same way the first time I was pregnant so it doesn't surprise me. I'm just glad I'm not throwing up. My midwife recommended fennell tea for the indigestion which I tried last night then had painful cramps in my tummy all night, female type cramps. I looked it up on the internet tonight and one website says pregnant women shouldn't drink it because it stimulates the uterus and can cause spasms and labour. So beware all the pregnant ladies out there....from now on I'm sticking with peppermint and ginger tea only

Butterfly quick question, you mentioned they told your husband to pick up his pp next Thursday, aren't they using the courier service anymore?

yea ramdont... i dunno i asked the same question... I am kidda confused... i just don't understand why they pushed it at thursday I thought standard pp pick up was tuesday and thursday..... but anyways kingston seems to be doing some weird things

wen you applied as refugee if you included your dependants then atomatically they are in the process as refugees. notice you only paid the 150 pr fee and not the sponser fee of 550, as I said I dont know if things changed but that was it for me.

they requested the pp lets say on the friday, we droped it off monday by wed they called for pick up. it was a very fast process

as we delayed in doing the meds for almost a month so may be they would have been here in nov had we done the med since oct as requested.

I wish it was the same for my hubby
now this is talking forever

Nea-Nea- Being pregnant is not that bad actually, doesn't really feel like I am. I probably vomited about 4 times since January. OH MY GOSH!! everythiiiiiiing smells terrible (I'm in with u on that). I can't eat chicken anymore cause it makes me sick *yuck* keep in mind before pregnancy I loved chicken, I eat a lot of pasta because thats mostly what I can tolerate. I'm in love with orange juice and cant stop drinking it (I have it everywhere I go,its become my best friend, dammit...we even have conversations together *jokes*...Lol. IT JUST TASTE SOOO GOOD!
I pee like 15 times throughout the night hours and its beginning to get on my nerves ??? Lol. So far it's a beautiful experience, except for feelings of nausea almost every other day.

Kc 416- Awww!!! I'm so happy for you, you and ur husband must be so excited. I wish u all the best as well

Ramdont- Hey gurl I'm not really sure what courier service is, but for you I called hubby to verify what they had said to him and he said they said next Thursday or the Tuesday after that. I'm not quite sure why they skipped this upcoming Tuesday but, I believe its pretty much the same Tuesday, Thursday service for drop off and pick up. Hope that helps.

I love the good news Butterfly!!! OVERJOYED!!!

It was two months ago yesterday that I miscarried at 13 weeks, I so enjoy your stories about ur pregnancies, knowing that soon hopfully, I too will be in your place again. I was telling my husband last eveing, that loosing the baby, was devastating, what I noticed while i was preganant, was i felt less lonesome, like I was connected to him, even though he was so far away. The difficulty only the worry that perhaps the spouse wont be there for the feet rubbing, belly brushing, and of course the birth. I beleive that positive thinking, and of course prayer can do so much, for all of us! There is nothing we all want more than to feel the hug of the ones we love, when things seem bleak, All i can say is your stories are so touching, they are like a group hug. I sprnt an hour or so last eveing reading past post, ones of uniting families, i cried and I can not wait to walk in your shoes!!!!!

it looks like KNG is asking some people go physically go pick up passport with visa in it and some people are getting asked to bring in a prepaid DHL envelope so that they can courier back the envelope with visa in it. As usual, KNG is not consistant with what they request from people.

Butterfly - yup, know what you mean about chicken - cant stand the smell of it being cooked now. Oh well.. hopefully I will go back to normal once I am no longer pregnant!
