nae - i am so happy with my choice of using a midwife. A lot of women think that they are either not covered by ohip or that they will have to have the baby at home with a midwife but neither is true. I only found out about a midwife from a lady at work, otherwise i would have gone with an OB. Not that there is anything wrong with an OB, i just like the fact that when i see my midwife its an hour long appt most of the time and its an hour long with the midwife, not 45 min with a nurse and then 10 min with the OB. I also love the fact that they are able to come and do house visits if you are bedridden or post delivery. Since me and hubby have no family or friends that live downtown toronto and all his family is in JA and only my mom, bro, aunty and uncle live in Canada and my mom being the closest at a 45 min drive - we are short of helping hands. So it will mean so much to have them come once a week just to make sure I am breastfeeding right, bathing right etc etc. Even though I am sure that will all come naturally to me. But just the extra helping hand for an hour or so will be nice.
just looked at the place, everything looks nice and as promised, floors are done, paiting is done.. just a few knicks that need to be fixed but they will be on that in time for us to move in on Satruday!! YAY!!
ramdont, What the MP will do is contact Kingston for you. Basically instead of you calling or sending a fax and email etc, your MP will do it and they are most likely to get an answer way quicker than you would be able to. Just figure out who the local MP is in Canada and call their office, explain your situation, give them all your details and get them to follow up with Kignston, usually they will either get some answers or put a flame under their rarse and get them to give you a call.
Quick question... when was the medicals done?
