I remember awhile ago ready in the old forum that for the ARC if it is required Immigration will let you know after the PR application is ready to be finished to pay the fee and have the party in Jamaica write a letter telling them why they should let them back in Canada I was also told that in Toronto when my husband went for his meeting to find out when he had to go. I did not have to pay as husband was out for a year left May 1,2008 returned July 19,2009 so they did not ask for it.

Hey everyone,

What a rainy damp night in TO! Makes me anxious to get to JA for sure. I am really hoping that the next few weeks before the holidays will bring us all some good news.

Sassy - it's amazing. everytime you post I find another similarity. We too originally filed - our lawyer turned out to be a consultant and we had the same thing happen. so obviously we were denied. We've filed every which way ... H&C, spousal, refugee .... lol we got desperate!
So I can just picture our IO's sitting in jamaica under a mile-high pile of paperwork trying to figure out this crazy situation :)
well I hope that since they have all your originials your next contact will be asking for his passport!
I was telling my mom today about your timelines and I think she had a bit of a panic attack. We were all counting on Spring - but it's just not looking good. Oh well - it will be what it will be I suppose.

I love this new forum!

Hi Glo,

Sorry I did not reply ealier but I was having issues posting it :(

Anyways, I think that you would only need to get one if he was deported. If he had an exclusion order he would only be banned for a certain amount of time. The best answer I can give you is have your husband read the paper that he was given. Did you have to report into immigration with him when he left at the airport?

Home,

Girl you and I are one!!! lol
We also did the PPRA, the H & C, the Rufugee, Supreme Court, Stay or removal order, you name it we tried it!!! lol
I just pray that this ends soon!!! I really hope that my experience can be beneficial for others to learn from. If I had even one example to follow I would have more piece of mind in my waiting....

Good day all. Wow it is so nice to come here and not see all the garbage. She must be so bored.

Sassy how will I know if we need a ARC, the IMM lawyer said we wouldn't need any special things to come back just wait the yr and file.
There hasn't been any movement with us since the request for prints and handed in. Your yr is coming up so my god what are they doing waiting till the last minute. So also are you saying they will want a police clearance from me to? His so called "criminal act" was assault and thrown out.

He keeps saying if he would have listened to me and not his so called friends we wouldn't be in this mess. However its a hard way to learn I say. It makes us tougher.

Hey Glo - Men can be so unreal sometimes! I guess all you can do is feel sorry for them b/c they clearly haven't ever experienced love.

I agree with Sassy - if your hubby wasn't removed, it's looking really good as it's a 1 year exclusion order = no ARC! yahoo. I wouldn't wish the long wait ahead on anyone.

to all -
This has been my toughest week yet. My husband left early March - so it's going on 10 months. And we're really only just over 3 months into our process. I find that the weather plays a big role on sadness ... probably the reason why a few of us are feeling really blue right now.

I can't believe that mad woman started her own thread! I thought her husband was waiting for his passport - so what's her point? Oh well, I'm sure there will be more people like us who will have to find out the hard way what she's really all about.

so thinking forward to December.... but JA offices are closed most of the holidays :(

Hi Sassy - no escort. We went to the airport and he checked in - they gave him paperwork and told him someone would be at the gate. He said that he saw an officer check with the desk but nobody talked to him or bothered with him.
How about your husband?

Man, thinking back to that day - it was the saddest day in my life so far. We too went all the way to federal court and found out after 9pm the night before that it was a no-go .... so that next day off we went.

Is your hubby in Kingston? does he have family there at least?

wow, lucky man. They had 2 armed armed police escort my husband all the way to Kingston. When they got there, they brought him straight to the police station to show the local police who he was!!!

Yes he is in Kingston (ghetto) and he does have family there but they are not that close. He left Jamaica when he was 9. He was in Canada for 20 years... it is hard to salvage relationships after that much time.

Are you kidding me? That's horrible. Poor guy - I can't even imagine what it felt like for him. I wonder why? By the sounds of it he had the same terms as my husband and signed in every week and reporting into the airport on his own accord. I honestly think it's down to each immigration officer. Ours in Toronto was a lady out of airport road. She was tough - but fair. She did extend his departure by a couple weeks off the bat and told him that she wouldn't request an escort.

Funny enough, my husbands passport wasn't even stamped deported - as a few others we've known were.

my hubby had to officers with him at the airport too. but as soon as he got on the plain he was free.that day was the worst day of my life i was extra emotional cus i was 3 months pregnant. wow I cant believe its been over 3 years ago.
hubby had a IMM warent because he never left when he was supposted to. so when the police found him in a routine spot check in her friends car they pulled up the warent. they held him in an IMM holding center in rexdale for 3 weekd before they sent him home:(

Geez, all of these removal/deportation stories are sad. My heart goes to all of you. Really. I mean armed officers??? Waste of tax dollars if you ask me.

BABYLON will never stop!

I hope that all of you are reunited with your loved ones soon.
