I don't think any of the dates they assign in the notes really make any difference, they seem to change them around whenever they want. If your application was transferred to Kingston in November I would expect to hear something between July and September, based on how things have been going lately. If they keep up the pace it could be closer to July, but our process took about 12 and a half months from start to finish and our application was very straight forward (no kids/no previous marriages/lots of visits back and forth/tons of proof/etc.) so who knows why some get through quicker than others lol. Hopefully they will continue to keep moving through them quickly and you will be reunited sooner than later!

Hey Divinity...... I hope you are doing ok... I think that Lonelydreadwife hubby got his passport back by now..... I remember reading a post from her saying that she praying that her hubby get his passport back before she go back to canada because she was going down to go visit him and at that time they got there passport request and that was more than 2 weeks when she made that post so i would say she should be in jamaica right now cuddling with her hubby.......lol...

I haven't gotten an update from her, but like Maddants said she is in JA now with her hubby so hopefully in a few days we will hear her landing story!! I'm sure he must have gotten his passport back by now

Hi MrsM

Congratulations again on your husband landing. The above is very informative as we have had a lawyer so I didn't really know the steps. My husband got his PPR on January 13th along with a request for a new PC and he still has not gotten his passport back My MP's office called and they were told his file was in the criminality and security stage and should be processed soon but they have already had his passport for 10 weeks!!! Has anyone else that you know of experienced this long of a wait? I am thinking it's because of the PC because like you our file is pretty straight forward although we do have a child who turned one this month.
I'm becoming more and more worried as weeks pass luckily we will be going to visit next week for 10 days which will make things brighter for awhile.

Thanks! When did you guys apply? And I would definitely be harassing my lawyer daily because I have never heard of Kingston holding on to a passport for that long. I know some other visa offices can hold onto them for a while, but Kingston is hardly ever longer than a month. Best of luck, keep us posted!

Probably not lol, ecas is not very reliable. After in process the next update will be decision made, after they request your passport and finalize everything

It usually depends on the method you choose when you apply but mostly ppl so far have been getting the requests through email so be sure to always check your junk.

There was a gentleman a few weeks back who was asked for an interview after PPR request, just curious as whether the interview was already done and the outcome, questions ask etc
