My MP didn't even ask what stage we were at when I requested them to look into it. I was "in process" but they didn't know that. They just asked what office, Kingston, and for our names application number etc. she thought it would only take a week but it took 4 in the end.

I'm still wondering if anyone has heard that phrase "in cue for an interview" before? So far doesn't seem like anyone received this so I may post on family sponsorship and see.

Just wondering if I should start sending him copies of some of the things we submitted in our package. More phone bills, bank forms from accounts we share etc, hydro bills, more printed pictures.. If I wasn't 7 months pregnant I would just fly down with it when we got an interview date (and if)..
Hey sara8513, in que for interview means that ur file is waiting in a pile to be assigned an interview date. There are 3 queues essentially after initial review: in que for officer review, in queue for interview, and in queue for denial. The interview queue is where files wait until given an interview date.

Hmmm well I guess I will start making a package to send him to take to his interview. Thanks for your help.

I hope they do PPR at it. Sounds like that's happened to some people in the last two years.

Thanks you shortyp2000 for the welcome you guys are great :)

i went to see an immigration consultant yesterday charged me 80 bucks and give me information on what i already know. i know i have a lot of researching to do. i see you guys use a lot of abbreviations and i have no idea what a lot of them stand for lol im trying to keep up. i mainly wanted to hire someone because i don't even know where to start. but as Paula said if there's not real reason to pay someone and pay thousands of dollars if i can do it myself. thanks for the advise Paula i think i'd definately going to just wing it myself.

Paula, can you point me in the direction of sample applications and shortyp2000 any advise on where i should start any links or anything. would be greatly appreciated. ???
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/how-i-organized-our-applcation-and-a-summary-of-all-helpful-tips-i-have-learned-t92449.0.html;msg1194983#msg1194983 See if that will work I googled sample of completed spousal sponsorship applications and got some info there also ... I personally have a friend who is sponsoring her husband from Trinidad and using a lawyer and she's calling me daily to ask questions so it just goes to show a lawyer isn't as helpful as everyone thinks ..he also didn't help her do anything he had her still fill out all the forms and he just reviewed them afterwards so your going to pay a lawyer and still do all the work . Some people I think misunderstand what a lawyer can do for you and all the forms are straight forward so your better off doing them yourself . The lawyer my friend is using is Just making her process more stressful and every time they correspond with Cic for you they charge you .. The lawyers can't fill out the forms for you without all the information you provide anyways ..

Paula, please refrain from categorizing groups of people not all and not a lot of jamaican women are spiteful, maybe some but not all. Please stop generalizing as you do not knw a lot of Jamaican women otherwise u would not speak nor talk like that.

And some of us wonder why meljam cut from the forum... I wonder...
Meljam mi miss yuh. Weh yuh deh?
lmao I sure do know a lot of Jamaican women .. Both my parents are Jamaican but i was born in Canada . And I did clearly specify not all Jamaican women are like that but the majority of them are .. And Yes This is a true fact. Gosh I even have family members living in Jamaica who do everything in there power to make the immigration process more difficult on there EX... And of course not all Jamaicans are like it but almost everyone from a garrison community behaves in those ways .. The bad mind in Jamaica is worse than anywhere else I have travelled and I know personally 90% of the people I know who have had to deal with there babymothers have had drama.. Of course I couldn't say all Jamaicans are like that because you have good and bad everywhere but a lot of the women there are this way .. And it's a bigger problem in the "ghetto" communities.. and simple if you don't like what I wrote don't read it ... Because clearly I'm not the first or last woman to deal with drama from there husbands EX... And while you may not like my posts there are many people who find them very beneficial and I receive several inbox messages everyday with people asking me questions or advice or simply just wondering how my process went ... So please at any time if you don't like my posts don't read them since it does show my name at the top ...and if someone cuts from the forum and u say no wonder they cut then maybe u should do the same and cut to since you can see why they did lmao ... Some people ..... Lemme guess ur one of the babymothers who spite there baby fathers is this why you felt insulted by my post , and to say I don't know Jamaicans is unreal I'm of Jamaican decent

Honestly Paula,
Eat the forum like grow up! A mature person would have acknowledged the comment and seen it nt as offence. Im tryna educate ppl like u who like to generalize. There is no such thing as a "ghetto". All it is is a broken community that has no unity. *clap clap* to u as u have made managed to make the forum go from everyone having open speech to paula speech. I aint got no time to go back and forth with u since u seem to be under the empression (not even impression) lol that ur answers are the best answers. Read up and stay up! Wish u all the best guru.

To every1 else, i wish u could have known the forum i knew when i was a newbie. Way more input from various sources. And u c meljam, mi respect meljam, roxie and hubbywifey bcuz they been going thru or have gone thru this process and yet they still wanted to help others but their input is according to mrs.guru unimportant. And for me any1 have any questions and want a different perspective then inbox me.
P.s Paula. Yea im one of those jamaican women "ratchid bitoch" that makes ppls lives difficult. Just like u! ;D ;D

I got a email saying my application was in a processing query waiting for a office to determine whether or not a interview was required and this was about 2 months before passport request .. It did take them a month almost to return my husbands passport we used DHL and I don't know if it's a possibility the delay was there fault .. if you already sent in those documents with your initial application I don't think it's necessary for you to send them to him again , if he did get a interview then yea just some things we could bring in but If your 7 months pregnant I'm confident they will waive your interview , I know it's hard and we all think ahead of ourselves and think what if , what if , what if .. the fact you are pregnant also shows a lot in terms of your relationship being genuine , that's my opinion .. So I think your gonna be fortunate and have your interview waived.. You have more strength then I do both you and @shorty you both have been pregnant and not had hubby here with you , that would be so stressful I couldn't do it , you women have a lot of strength .. my husbands interview was waived, and he has his passport back now , we're looking into the next 2 weeks for him to come up here , we have a condo there that I want Rented out before he leaves so he can atleast meet the people who are gonna live there . The date they gave him was August 12/2016 in his passport .. So that is exactly 2 years after medical expired and his PC expired also mid Aug and he didn't summit another one, but This was all close to the same time we received his PPR..... And maybe since you were pregnant maybe your MP did look into your case for you because you would think being pregnant that would make your case more urgent .. I think it was @shorty who received the same response from there MP as I did , but I may be remembering incorrectly ... @cece and I should also clarify that it is not only Jamaican women who are spiteful and don't want To cooperate and hold there children as leverage because yes this does happen all over he world with both men and women.. And if it came off like I was generalizing and saying all Jamaican women were like that then my apologizes because not all are.

Even though my husband did not get along with his baby momma she was very helpful with me after all it benefits the child and maybe her one day
yes that's great , the 1 gave us so many problems , which we later concluded why after doing DNA. The other one was ok ok and off , we ended up having to pay her to cooperate and also we had to get the child's passport .. Which then she called the police and tried to say that he stoled the child's passport to run away with the child .. Thankfully we already had a letter from her and the forms done and copies of the passport so we just gave them back to her since we didn't need them .. Being a mother I don't understand how or why anyone would want to take that right away from the child and not have them medically examined. It's unfortunate and while there are some women who encounter problems with the EX there is also some women with great morals who help in any way because they only care about the best interest of the child .. And while yes I did have my opinion on the way some baby mothers act there I also want to say that Jamaicans in general are very friendly and welcoming people .. The majority of Jamaicans are well mannered and when I'm in Jamaica I just feel the love all over the island .. Everyone is good morning , good afternoon , and good evening .....

wow Paula, That was acutually VERYYY helpful thank you so much for that link it definitely gives me a start. i'm just takin in everyones information and reading the cic website and about to get really started on monday with everything. gonna print out all these things at work where it's free. but yeah i believe i'm just going to do it myself without representation because everywhere i call it's thousands of dollars and i got bill to ain't nobody have that type of money chilling in the bank. well if you do kudos but i certainly dont lol :p

i have another question tho as i will many many more im sure lol. um i was just wondering how does CIC normally corresponds with you is it by mail, phone, e-mail? because i live with family at the moment (Sisters) and when the mail comes in the morning i'm at work, and im not really ready to have them in my business yet so id rather if they corresdond with my by phone or e-mail..... so yeah how does CIC normally get in contact with you throughout all the stages of this process?

Thanks Shorty and Chucky i will definitely include my e-mail address.

Also, do you guys recommend that my husband do the medical and police check before we submit the application or should we wait for CIC to provide those directions. also, is it only the person being sponsored that completes the medial or do i have to complete these things as well? :-X

I would absolutely complete them before. It's said that if you wait it will add on at least 2 months when they request it.

If you wait until they ask, you will have another 60 day waiting period. They wont be asking you for at least 3 months after u submit the application so, you can submit now and do it within the next 2 months (thats what I did), but if they decide to your application fast (yeah right) then you run the risk of them asking you before they receive it. If you do it too early you will have to redo the police check over again. The medicals can be extended but the police check cant be extended. So, instead of letting 3 months worth of the police check be wasted My hubby did his after we got sponsorship approval. Never had a problem with it.
