Nothing since SA... they havent told me if they received medicals either, but someone told me that they may not even post it even if they have it... so waiting waiting waiting..... i am glad others are around the same timeline, it helps let us know where each other is at and how they are progressing. Also waiting for them to update their government site with the quarterly updates as to how long the process should be taking. Today is the 4 month mark from when they updated last time, so hopefully they update soon.

Hey MelJam,

I so hope that this is what happens with our file too. They received our new PC in Trinidad last Thursday which I sent proactively before they had a chance to correspond with us about our application. Based on other people on this forum in Trinidad, it should be our turn anytime now. I guess they need to match our paper document (PC) to our file first. Hopefully the paper filing process is not too long. I also sent colored copies of our marriage certificate and my husband's birth certificate. We paid all fees up front so they should have everything that they need now..... Everyday I think we should hear something..... Please soon.... soon....

BTW, we used FedEx to send these papers to POS last week and the cost was only $4,200 JA. It seems less that what I have seen on here with DHL.

Anyways best wishes to all!

Well today was our day! News came in from POS and it was the news that we were waiting for. We got PPR!!!!

Bless your heart MelJam for your advice to send our PC in proactively and bless my heart for taking your advice ;D

Less than one week after they received our new PC we got a PPR from Trinidad. My husband"s medical expires July 20th so he needs to land here before that. They asked us for 2 pics as well and that's it! The letter states that we are in the last phase of processing. The on-line system has not been updated yet to in-process status.

We are so excited with this news and just feeling such a sense of relief. We will hurry to send passport to them and hope for a good turnaround time. It pays to be on top of this process and to not let them drive it at 100%. They appreciate the collaboration and they were clear on that in their email back to me when I asked them if I should send in our PC before they ask.

Good luck to everyone! You will get rewarded for all your efforts. Keep the faith.....

Thank you. I was getting hopes that it would be around the 5 month mark, but now I see that others are actually getting PPR from much longer than that. The waiting is unbearable. It's not fair. I didnt get married to be a single mother, and that's exactly what I am now. He's missed births, birthdays, holidays, surgeries, first day of school.... how are other countries getting thru in less than half the time? I swear its because of how the workers are down there. NOTHING down there goes fast does it? Im sure we've all experienced that. Sorry to vent, im just tired of crying my eyes out everyday.

We all get there and we all cry. Its the process trust me. Its frustrating, stressing and we think its just plain out evil. Just have faith and be strong for the kids! There will be many more of everything to come! Just keep high hopes!?! Hopefully you get through fast! Im only on 2 months but i still think its long... My mom gave me the best advice, she said "just wait and be confident, the time it takes is 3 times less than it was before!" It made me smile and i hope it does the same to you!
