Hubby just sent me his mail. It was dated July 22nd. They gave him 30 days to do police clearance and 60 for a medical even though our status says medical received. hELP. What do I do?

As I read your post my stomach started to drop and my heart started to race. Right away contact your MP...google him, call him and email him. Tell his assistant that it is urgent that you speak with him. You can also try calling the Minister of Immigration...Chris Alexander 905-426-6808. Plead your case and make sure you tell them that you did change your email and did not hear back. Hmmm, didn't you just pay the remaining fees?? If so, tell them that they accepted that so why would you pay if you were ignoring or cancelling your application. What sucks is that you missed the 30 days for the PC and then the 60 days for the medicals so you missed two deadlines. Try to not stress too much about it bc you can appeal it and hopefully a good old fashion explanation will work. Just set you back a month or two. Good luck and keep us posted!

Everyone else...think we need to insist that our spouses check their snail mail even if we have an email or our addresses! My hubby is horrible at checking mail but this will be his kick in the butt to do it!

That is a joke for sure...I would call back and say that he isn't there.

Their email address is also on their website. Start emailing them...send them all the fact and call them first thing in the morning and keep calling until someone helps you.

Also - i saw that the first medical appointment isn't until October 8th. Not sure if this is in Kingston or not but can you try other areas of the island to see if they have something sooner?

this is how *censored word*ed kingston is....i never even put a email on file and i got my MP to call about this so called letter they sent on Sept 5th and now they are saying they emailed it. WTF.

i'm like mrs davis right now, everything is on a timeline and ours is just ticking away while they friggin lie on us and snail mail or dont even mail at all.

Are you anywhere near Kitchener/waterloo area in Ontario? There is an immigratiton specialist that worked previous for immigration so has great links and is a great help- I can get you that number. Try calling immigration lawyers, specialists anywhere that will give you some insight over phone to save more $$ spent upfront, you can go where you feel your money will be of best use. I googled all these for us. There is also one in Toronto that also has an office in Jamaica~ maybe that is a better option? There are a few I found in google. Let me know if I can help in some way

Oh my God!!!! My hubby just called me at work PPR, PPR, PPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so over the moon right now, won't be good at nothing after this news, impossible for me to focus!

Hubby will send a letter with his passport by DHL today to mention to Imm. that I am flying there in two weeks for his B'day, getting back 7 days after, asking them if they think it might be possible to get his passport and visa back in time in order to fly back with me ;D ;D ;D

Congratulations!!!! I really hope you guys get to fly home together!!!
