Hi everyone,

I have a question, if you applied a conjugal can you update ur application to common-law ones you reach the one year living requirement or you have to apply all over?

You would need to resubmit everything to show common law and not conjugal as the proof that is needed is different. You need to show that you've lived together for a year with lease agreements, bills together , joint accounts, mailing address proof etc. Has your boyfriend moved back to JA so you guys could get the common law status or have you come to Canada? And remember it has to be 365 days of living together. A week vacation apart here and there is fine however you have to have been living together for 365 days or more.

Have you guys already got sponsorship approval? I know you applied a few months ago

Good afternoon everyone. Back after a summer in JA. Holy hannah was it hot. But so worth it. We had a wonderful time with all 5 of our children. They all got along so well, a true blessing. Sad to be back but looking forward to hubby coming soon. Hopefully this transfer to Port of Spain will speed things up a bit. We shall see.

Congratulations to everyone who got PPR over the summer. The long wait is finally over for you.

On another note. I became a Canadian Citizen on Friday. Yay. *ca* It was a beautiful ceremony and surprisingly emotional for me. I have to say, I am now a proud Canadian.

Welcome to the NEWEST Canadian Citizen!! Congrats Lexi!!

Good Morning and Happy Monday JAMFAM (oh and POS too now I guess?!?!)!!

PPR chanting continues....

PPR PPR PPR PPR...KGN and POS send out some....PPR PPR PPR PPR!

Hi A and to A a good day

Just and F.Y.I had hubby go into DHL in St. Mary and find out the cost to courier to TNT and when I heard the lady say almost $5,000.00 I was like shit uuugggh.... do I run the chance an send it to KGN and have it sit on someone's desk or just bit the bullet and paid the 5gs....lolol

Just for clarification, the processing times have been increased to 27 months. If your application was submitted when the processing time was 24 months, will your application be processed within 24 months or 27months ?

Send it to Kingston and they will forward it to POS.

You have to follow the new posted times....which is completly unfair and not right. They should go by the times posted when you applied. However they don't.

Are you referring to your Police Certificate? If so and you have not been asked for it but are just being proactive in getting them a new one I would say (IMO) to send it to KGN and they will forward it on to PoS. I had sent mine to KGN the week before we found out about the transfer of files. I emailed PoS to confirm that they are indeed in possession of my file and told them that I had sent the new PC to KGN the week before. They confirmed that my file was with them and then said that they will get PC from KGN. I also attached a copy of my DHL waybill signed by someone in KGN and a copy of the PC for their records. Hope that helps. $5000 is a lot and since this is KGN eff up for being so freakin' slow they should be paying to send stuff to PoS not us!

I agree Sammy so unfair but really what is fair in this whole process!??!?! So techinically if the times keep going up in increments of 2 or 3 months as seems to be the case every quarter someone could be stuck in this process for the rest of their lives no!??!? I applied and it was 22 months but when first checked out CIC and hubby and I were dating I remember seeing 16-18 months!

Thanks ladies I was thinking of sending to KNG and faxing to POS letting them know the original was sent to kgn and should be on its way...this ordeal is so frustrating....yeah im trying to be proactive and have hubby do the police check tomorrow so it should be ready next wk and send it in next wk

Yes hubby did sent his pc to Kingston for 300$ with Tara last Monday. Next week I will contact TNT to follow-up on this.

Hey guys I have a question so if I want to order notes now I should put file in POS instead of Kingston right! And if I want to update the visa office like sending ongoing communication I send to pos? The thing is this is frustrating, cause we don't know if that visa office is way strict than Kingston so u don't even know what to do! Gosh

I don't think this goes for sponsorship, is more for visiting visa or so
