okay so here it is and i dont know what this means...i called my MP yesterday as it was my bday and i was feeling extra down..another year(6 total) has passed and i am here alone waiting to get the chance to celebrate with my hubby, so today my MP called back and said the file was reviewed and they sent out a letter today for him to redo his Police record. They have put in for an extension on the Meds.
What does this really mean?
and does anyone know how long it takes for them to receive the letter by mail from kingston to st anns bay? is it delivered to his home or does he have to go look for it at the PO?
also... how long after these steps does it take to request passport? or interview?

someone please help... i dont want to get excited until i have all the info...

Jah from past applicants this means that your file is nearing an end! Have him redo his PC right away and courier it to KGN. Your hubby should check his mail every day if possible. Do they have your email on file? If so it may come to you but apparently that takes a long time to get to us. I know someone who's letter was dated January but they didn't get it for a month! Once they have the PC hopefully KGN will send out the PPR shortly thereafter. also good that they told you that they extended your medicals. Good luck! We are all rooting for you bc this means that they MAY BE working on Septemer applicants as well

Good afternoon everyone. Back after a summer in JA. Holy hannah was it hot. But so worth it. We had a wonderful time with all 5 of our children. They all got along so well, a true blessing. Sad to be back but looking forward to hubby coming soon. Hopefully this transfer to Port of Spain will speed things up a bit. We shall see.

On another note. I became a Canadian Citizen on Friday. Yay. *ca* It was a beautiful ceremony and surprisingly emotional for me. I have to say, I am now a proud Canadian.

So my 10 day vacation finally end today when hubby leave this morning, last night I cried so hard like I never did before, n today after going to the airport to send him off n back home realzing the room the bed n my heart is empty without him I just cried my eyes out again, Man!!!! Am telling you it don't matter how much I hate a person I really would not wish this type if feeling on them it any one.

Anyways my hubby had send a email to Chris Alexander the immigration minister office and they reply saying our file is in port of Spain so our immigration consultant wasn't aware of it n say she gonna fax to find out if the file is in POS or Kingston, what's been going on why files going to POS? I hope it's good for us all

I don't think you can apply for a visitor visa while you are in a process for permanent resident...not sure...

Yes you can apply for a visitor visa but your more to get turn down just because your in process for your pr but you might be lucky to get approve for visitor visa try your luck tho

Yeah let's hope they don't collect them then have us waiting for long too, they collect them to help Kingston out and cause they have the source to get it all done so I hope they start sending out PPRs as of this week n keep sending them out for peace sakes n stop torturing people like that, it's just not right
