sanchester - I hear ya girl! I've been to JA 4 times this year and 3 times last year....I hate to say it but it's true, I'm sick of travelling there too lol I love it there and can't stand being without my husband which is why I go so much. I'm putting my travel plans on hold right now hoping and praying KG works just as fast on our file as they did on highlyflavoured's file!

Morning Sanchester!

No nothing extra. When they asked for additional/original documents (which was the final step for us b4 he got the PPR) I just provided proof that he was on my insurance at work (medical/life/dental), cards we received from our wedding, more letters, more pictures, plus our original marriage certificate. Then we just prayed for God's will to be done.

As for medicals and police certificates, my husabdn had his police certificate done 5 months before I actually submitted the application and the medical was done 3 months prior.

What also helped, I think, is that when they called for the additional/original documents, I just happened to be in JA and took the call. I tell you, it was a divine appointment.

Ladies, it's that moment when you know their flight is landing and you are waiting for them to come through the doors at the airport or in my case through the doors and down the escalator. It was surreal. It's like watching a romanctic movie but you are starring in it and your "Knight in Shining Armour" is coming to meet you. You get all these butterflies and you feel like you are a teenager all over again. Amazing! I believe that the delays and paperwork that have been held up are going to be released in the name of Jesus!

I don't hope in anything else but the power of Jesus Christ and I believe that this year is going to be the year of "ultimate" reunions. Families will be restored. Those of you who are down and out right now, and are fighting against frustration and tears - Sorrow may ensure for a night, but you morning is coming and it's filled with unspeakable joy! Amen!

Remember this is a race and you can't fall back or give up until you cross that finish line and receive your prize and that is the reunion you've been waiting so many, many months for. Maple and Missing can attest to that. So can LCW and the rest of us. Be strong for yourselves and if you can't, then be strong for your husbands, because despite how much they are "manly" and "macho" there are, I guarantee you that their pillows can probably bear witness to many tearful nights.

But I think you can't let the whole process get you down that much. Its not worth it. Sure we would all love to have our hubbies/wives with us but me being depressed wont make the process go faster. It is what it is. You just gotta find other things to fill your time with. That's my take on it anyways.

I'm good!!!!! Still enjoying life cause the good far outweighs the bad.

sheraig - I love this forum too! everyone here is very helpful and encouraging. I enjoy reading the posts, and I love that everyone here understands what you're going through, the highs, the lows and everything in between.

we got a bit of bad news today - hubby's company contract at the hospital expires on Sept 3 and will not be renewed so he is out of a job. They have had some trouble paying their employees lately and they didn't get all their pay last week...including my husband....some just didn't get paid at all. That boggles my mind that they can get away with just not paying their employees!! People work for peanuts there as it is and can't even live on what they make then they just don't get paid and there's nothing that can be done about it? and they are still expected to show up for work? geez ???

oh well, I told hubby not to worry, start looking for another job now and to keep hoping and praying KG works fast on his application

Hope all is well i just read some of the past notes its been a while since ive been online, sorry to hear your loss LCW.
just a quick note to let you all know that my hubby did not get his pp back yet its been a while. so unfortunately he will
not be coming on vacation with us on sunday he tried to get it back on tuesday but KG just told him to continue to wait
for it. i even sent a letter and emailed them but they didnt even look at it when he went there, they dont care. oh well.
all i can say is that i am learning how to be very patient with this process, and it is very hard cuz im not a very patient
person.

nae- sorry to hear about ur hubbys job, hopefully he will be hear soon i think ur timeline is similar to mine,in the meantime i
think he should start looking for another job just to keep him busy while he waits, i dont think he should go to work if he is
not going to get paid, can he get some references from this job.

Thank you all for your kind words written to me...I appreciate every word...this process takes such a toll on your emotions and the words of support are so wonderful to read. HF your words brought tears to my eyes because my thoughts of my hubby dealing with everything on his end...we have had some tough talks about everything that is happening in his country and sometimes I ask him to stop watching the news...it scares me how some people are acting with no thoughts on human life!!! and how precious it is!!! I get so sad some days when he tells me all that is happening down there. KG bring my family home to me!! I pray for that day to come soon!!

Nae ..sorry to hear about your hubby losing his job...I sure hope everything works out for him and he is soon up here with you where he belongs.

Jam....you are such a beautiful, strong, caring woman and our day will come and soon we will be visiting each other in PEI ;D ;D 8) I will bring the salad (wink) !!

Sheraig...like everyone has said in their posts..this is such a hard process to go through..but well worth it in the end as I am picturing in my mind...keep strong and think of the end of this race and what is at the finish line as we all are doing... I know that once my husband is by my side this will all makes sense as to why we had to wait so long because I WILL appreciate every morning waking up beside him and every night kissing him good night...I hope I never take our relationship for granted and will always remember what it has taken for us to reach that day!!!

Nae...my hubby just got a letter requesting an interview in 84 days!!!

How is everybody doing? I have been busy, but I often check in to see how the family is doing. The bible says, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning! I strongly believe that this month of August, or what is remaining in it will be victorious!!

Good evening everyone Nae-nae your now on the way yahoooo. Things are going smooth so far. I called little mans mom last night and let her know I was taking care of the money for his passport. We had a nice talk ,then my son got on the phone. Cute kid all I could get out of him yes yes yes..lol We have talked before but nothing long. She is sick with stomach cancer and going through chemo she was telling me. We knew she was sick but were told what. So now we know. I told her not to worry when hubby gets here and gets a job he will be sending money for him. So that all taken of. Its very important to maintain the relationship with her and him. My daughter wanted to know if we can have him.. what a girl.
Hubby is heading to KG for his police redo on Monday.
Other then that ist all good.
Angella did you email them to see if any progress with asking for the pp.
I don't say much about prayer and what not. But the praying I have been doing and trusting and putting my faith in god has me so happy. Alot of things happened in the past for me to step back BUT now. My son got a job finally, making way more then me ...lol hey son.. hubby gets his letter.
Prayer and Faith is so poweful. Not to mention meeting all you great people.
Ok I am done with my book.lol

congrats glo girl im heading to kingston on monday to drop off hubby payment and police clearance i hope they will give us mercy amd just stamp the passport the same time lolz
