I thought you were down there until January? You will actually be there for Christmas with him if he hasn't heard anything by then. I have heard that Christmas in Jamaica is the place to be, everyone I talk to says it is such a great time at Christmas!oneandonly said:I hope to have my hubby home for Christmas really don't want to miss two Christmas without him
Even though it was 11 years ago?oneandonly said:Also because you have sponsored before might not be easy the second time around they may want an interview not to scare you or anything but just hope for the best. Personally it doesn't matter how you file its all in the eyes of the visa officer.
Good day and welcome to our family. I have added you to the spreadsheet. If you click on my link below the purple thing down below you will see where I have added you and the timelines of everyone else here. As you can see everyone is different and no 2 are ever processed the same. Good luck and hopefully you and wifey will be together soon!CADsponsor13 said:We got married on March 16th 2013 this year. Submitted papers on May 2013. As a sponsor, I was approved June 27th. Waiting on my wife now. I reside in Canada, she's still in Jamaica. Am hoping she will be here by christmas but from reading this forum, seems like that is wishful thinking...
Cool! Should also update that the medical records have also been received for my wife as well as her application on June 3rd 2013chickie72 said:Good day and welcome to our family. I have definitely heard this before. It's not the fact he has been married and divorced. It's the fact that the person he married and divorced was someone he sponsored.chickie72 said:Even though it was 11 years ago?
I don't see that as a problem in my case though. We were together for almost 9yrs, 6 of those married and 5 years living in Canada together. She lives in Canada, works in Canada, and pays her taxes. We are still on talking terms with one another despite going through a divorce and separation. She is still single to this day. Besides, they would not have approved me within a months time if that was a problem.danielle902 said:I have definitely heard this before. It's not the fact he has been married and divorced. Next just curious what's Chickie or anyone what was the time frame when you first applyed as your the Visa worrier here?
Well my ticket is booked in Jan but hopefully we will go home before Jan. I don't think we should pass this year without going home. I believe we will get PPR in Nov and passport returned in Dec. Christmas is the place in Canada for us snow and time with family.chickie72 said:I thought you were down there until January? Doesn't matter how many years ago it was they look at the fact he has sponsored before and would like to know why it didn't work out. They also want to know this time around is it for love or away to get into Canada. I have read a lot of posts on this sadly. Not all have interviews but it sure is a heads up.chickie72 said:Even though it was 11 years ago?
My current wife, we've been talking for 3yrs (since 2010). Went to visit 2x in the last 2yrs, plan on going again soon if nothing happens at end of this year. I tried to get her to visit me on two separate occasions. Each time she was denied for the same reason as she had no travel history. Well um DUH. How do you expect to get any travel history if you won't let the person visit another country? 3 years of headaches, long distance relationship...it has not been an easy road for either of us. We have a great relationship and i am not about to let that pass me by. Oh yeah...I'm white...She's black.oneandonly said:Doesn't matter how many years ago it was they look at the fact he has sponsored before and would like to know why it didn't work out.
