Yay, I was watching CP24! I must confess, I am a government employee. I work with the government of Ontario. I can tell you that when there is public out cry and other areas of the government are affected, solutions to problems are found quick. I am faced with challenging clients and families on a daily basis. I can tell you that MP and lawyer calls, get attention to cases and in some instance will get client and families more. However it can also cause more harm them good. Empathy is lost and employees will adhere to stringent guidelines as opposed to reviewing cases on a individual basis.

For this reason I am not looking forward to this process. On one hand you want to advocate, but on the other hand you don't to bring any negative attention to you case.

I can tell you from experience within my organization, the pressure will be on to "catch up." I would imagine that PAFSO workers would like to get back to work in processing these applications

app's through for the school year since we've just now started seeing any progress on family app's.

I am still here without my pp..they sent me an email in august to follow up on the additional documents that they asked me for..My ecas changed to in process since September i posted it on the forum but i dont think u saw it..

Oh no no no... No no. I was not the one with the braids. Haha. She was in front of me. And across.

I go and visit my Husband in feb for his birthday. And sept for our wedding anniversary.

Wha gwan in dis tread?.....I haven't really been posting much..but there is good news all around I see...congrats to those that have heard something or they're e-cas did a little twitch and actually changed...lol I have a question...for some reason I cannot order my GCMS notes and to send a case specific is pointless...here is my Q: On October 13th it will be 5 months since the hubby's interview...since I do not know where I stand asfar as a decision...the hubby's medicals expire on October 29th (wich is the day he did them)..I have heard people mention that they will give you an extension if you at the end of the process....should I because I have no idea if I am near the end or not...just redo..or wait a little longer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You should be able to order your notes.

You could send Kingston a case specific inquiry asking if your hubby should re-do his medical since they are about to expire. That's what I did and that's when they told me they had requested an extension on my hubby's medical. Your husband may be near the end of the process so it is a possibility they will extend them... they have until the end of January 2014 (based on the Oct 29 expiry date). If you've got money to burn he could re-do his medical...some people have gone that route.

Who knows what we'll be seeing out of Kingston now that the strike is over...they must have a huge backlog...if our spreadsheet is any indication of so many people waiting a year and longer...

Hopefully they'll respond and tell you that they are issuing the visa and sending your hubby's passport back to him!
