I trust everyone had a nice long week-end, just checking in saying "hey" to everyone hope everything is back to some kind of normalcy... so the embassy can get moving again for everyone that has been waiting.

Anxiouslywaiting - has your hubby being able to drop off his passport as of yet?

We have family in the military is JA and in the police force and not to mention family that is all over Kingston and in St. Andrew, all you can do at a time like this is pray. Pray for God's will to be done and that lives are spared. Job 13:15a

HF....Yes he was able to make the drop last Thursday, just as everything was about to unfold..

I Just hope they call him soon to come get it, so I can them them out of there....he live/work right in the heart of Kingston.

I am so worried for my family and friends back home too... Hope they will stop this nonsense soon..

BTW, did your husband pick up is PP yet how...

Anxiously - Praise the Lord. I'm glad to hear he got through. As for mine, not yet. We're still waiting for the call, but I'm assuming that they have the Embassy closed for now, same as the US. with only "essential" workers coming in to the office.

I've been concerned too. Hubby always says "Why worry when you can pray?" However, it doesn't stop me from asking "How is so and so, and this person and that person. Have you heard from so and so?"

Hello Everone the High Commission of Canada in Kingston is closed to the public. I know this as some people in my office fiancee just get calls from them to pick up their pp, so they are working the paperworks are not closed at all. Due to the Erruption going on they are closed for the Public.

Quick shout out to you ladies and gents! With everything happening this last week, spurred me to login for a moment.

Thoughts and prayers with all, specially those with spouses and family in KG area. We are part of that group - hubby was grown in Spanish Town until his mid teen and likkle sister still resides with extended family.

good morning forum!

AW - I'm here, just been worried about what's going on in JA. Hubby works at the hospital in Mobay and is one of the group of people not getting paid due to the banks being shut down and short staffed. Geez! I understand but they make so darn little as it is, how can they go without? He said the people he works with are not at all happy! I don't blame them. They haven't given them a date as to when they WILL be paid.

I'm glad things have calmed down in KG but am really saddened by all the deaths. It's such a shame! and I'm sure duddus was long gone before all this started. Too many lives have been lost, it's heartbreaking!

Good to hear you nae-nae............sorry to hear about the situation with hubby, isn't it sad how the good always

suffer for the bad in every way...PPL are been affected in more ways than one if not directly then indirectly like the post offices, banks, supermarkets, just going about your daily job....

U might not be in the war zone but you are still been affected...I read somewhere no Breads, no chicken its like a hurricane pass through...

Its amazing how much we are co-dependent on each other........................but I hope things work out soon and he

can get paid, he deserves it. in a few days it will be month-end.


Its horrendous, all the killing and what have been accomplished by this? ???..... absolutely nothing ..
