my hubby is a bit worried....this morning he said he hopes he doesn't get caught up in all of that political stuff. I asked him what he meant and he said he hopes he doesn't get shot by the police or someone else. God my heart stopped beating in my chest hearing that! Mind you, he lives in Rosehall and works in Mobay which is heavily touristy. He doesn't live far from the main road and police aren't usually up in his neighbourhood. He is not by any means a bad guy nor does he run with the wrong crowd so I don't think there should be a problem. He agreed but said he's still worried....now I'm worried!

kc - thanks for the story! I laughed out loud....I was trying to picture my hubby in all them layers lol

question....how long is it before hubby will be able to travel back to JA for a visit once he comes to Canada?

The best thing to do is pray. I tell you my hubby tells me stories, all non-chalant and I'm up here "Miss Canada" the basket case. But he's got the kind of faith that can move mountains and I'm still working on mine. ;) 'Tis the life of being the wife of a Man of God. Wouldn't trade it for the world! ;D

Oh yes, the painkillers are awesome. He froze my mouth after everything was done to get me through the evening. So the most traumatizing thing was hearing the "removal" process.

To everyone else, continue to keep up with the relaxing posts. Even if there weren't any updates today at least there were conversations about things un-immigration related which is great for the mind and least let us relax for a bit. Remember though, it's a day closer to being with our loved ones :D

As for the situation in JA, I don't quite follow world news and can't really comment on that which is happening on the island right now for I am not JA. However, 600 murders since the begging of the year is wholly high for such a small island.

Is there a reason as to why this high murder rate is in effect? Is it from corruption withing the public sector (police men especially)?

I have a story which I want to share. I used to know of this one person who works in security in Canada, he is from JA and was a police officer back there.

He used to tell my co-workers of his dutty acts as a po-po in JA where he used to arrest women and rape them just because. Women and young girls as a matter of fact. I found it very disgusting and I am sure back in places like those there isn't any such thing as Justice or Human Rights Laws to protect innocent lives. The same happens here in GT.

Yet, because he was a police officer no reports were made against him and so he got to slip away easily to Canada. I really would like any of those women or girls who went through him could step up and speak out loud.

Even too in Canada, he would be checking out black girls and tailing behind them to get some Vitamin S. He was always one damm horny man. Anything that is black with titties, a heartbeat and a pom pom he runs after. His dick should get chopped off for that. Sorry if I am being irrational here.

I hope the situation in JA gets sorted out quickly and please, please, please warn your loved ones back home to keep far away from trouble as much as it would tempt them to get involved and stand up for their rights.

There are a lot of things in the private sector that boil my blood to high high temperatures and tempt me to want to do things but I know it's not going to ever benefit me. Therefore, I step back let them say as they wish and walk away. I know one day though they will be punished in some way or the other.

So, it's not worth getting into arguments and fights for your loved ones back home.

And to all the other newbies in here, CONFUSEDANDSCARED IS NO OOMAN ???, I AM A MANN ... A YOUNG ONE TOO :D :P
 
One last thing, I spent the whole half day cleaning my room. God, this place can get so damm dusty so quick. Would just finish cleaning and by Friday it'll look as if no one cleaned it for months. Sometimes I wish I had magical powers to overcome dust and keep a place clean without actually having to clean :D

He should be able to travel as soon as he gets his PR card in the mail which I read from other post takes about 4-6 weeks after arrival.

No celebration I will just save that until I get there but I sure spend the best part of my night looking for ticket for him because I am trying to get him on my returning flight.

He is going to drop PP tomorrow hope they don't take too long after that .. I am paranoid I just want that book in his hand.. then its all good.

confused - that man you were talking about is disgusting excuse for a human being if what he was doing as a police officer is true. I try to believe that what goes around, comes around....he will get his one day!

oh and confused if you find your magical powers....I'm sure all of us will want you to use them on our houses lol
