I don't have phone bills or send him money either so that's why I was a little worried ....But I do top his phone up all due to his laziness lol that way I know the service wont expire lol!

lol..... me and my wife have alot of things to give immigration to prove that our relationship is genuine but they still want to interview me....saying that we did not give the any evidence proving our relationship from when we first met...but like every relationship starting out.....a person is not going to know where the relationship is going to prosper or not so we did not have any evidence to give the but my i got some birthday cards and some letter with he kids pic that she sent me that i kept......so when i do go to the interview im going to give them that put everything else i can provide to them.

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this thread I joined today!! I sent my application to sponsor my spouse in jamaica in May2013 and was accepted for the first stage. My application is now at the visa office in Jamaica for processing. Does anyone know what the average processing time is? the website says 19 months, is this accurate?

Is there anything i should or can do throughout the process to get my hubby here quicker?

Also, I'll be heading to JA in Novemeber, has anoyone visited the office in Kingston? does this help if you go in person?

I sent actual pics as well. I haven't sent my husband money and rarely top up his phone so I did t have that stuff to send. But I do visit the island every two months so I sent all of my flight confirmations hotel reservations and passport stamps. Don't be discouraged. It's out of your hands. We are all waiting. One day we will be together

i sure wish my wife could come visit me here in jamaica every 2 months.....lol

Hi Chickie72! Thank you for the quick response. The spreadsheet is really helpful and gives me some sort of idea regarding timelines. I've seen a few messages about notes, is this something i should request now that my file is at the Kingston office? With regards to the medical and police clearance, when will my husband be asked to get them done again? I had no idea he would possibly have to do it twice!

your hubby might dont have to redo them at all......it depends on the immigration officer is you should redo them or not because your application can be finish before they are expired but for some of us has gotten extension on there medical and some ppl just go and get them done on there own......which that is what im going to do. im going to get them done before my interview date comes us so when i go to the interview and pass i wont let that be my hold up at all.

LOL Well I have lots of other things to provide them with just not phone bills we try to keep costs down so BBM works great and we can do voice chat thru blackberry so that's what we do for a fraction of the cost of calls ! We save where we can so im able to go down there so often....

that kool.......my wife have to work so she cant come here that often to come and visit me at all......since me and my wife been married she been back to jamaica 3 times to come back and look for me in 2 years..... i dont have a blackberry but do talk to my wife on facebook and sometimes on skype......so next month send is going to print our facebook messages and send them to me and she will be sending me some phone bills that she used and call me also..... im just going to give them what i have and that all we can do.

Are the actual prints of pics ok I have a lot and I think its kinda heavy does that matter?

my wife send copies of our pic together but i have the originals though so im going to bring them with me withe her ticket stubs, post cards, western union receipts, letters from her family, and a few emails that i have....that is what the going to get so that will just have to do for me..

Ya I work too I been lucky enough that my employer let's me go as often as I go but I do get 6 weeks a year for vacation so I spread them out and do things that way and I also utilize any holidays we have here and head straight to JA lol I can't stay away from Hubby I'm addicted! Lol

Morning all!!!!

Well 4 weeks and 4 days till I leave for JA. I still have so much to do. I need to get a few things and buy another suitcase. Got the hubby to go and see how much diapers and formula were down by him and they are just a couple dollars more. So I'm go an save the money and not send a barrel down.

Not sure if I've mentioned this before or not but every Saturday nite I get to watch my Hubby work live on Internet. He's a drummer and works with a group that had a live stream from a hotel.....well anyways the baby was awake for it this weeks. She payed there watching him. It was so cute. Good thing about him going to this hotel is we can Skype. He was FINALLY able to see the baby besides just in pics. I have never sen him smile so big in my life. He was so excited and happy to finally see here like that. Makes me even more excited to go down there

How long does it take for Ecas to change to say "medicals received " I've checked it and its not updated yet when I log in with my uic number. Should I be using something else to log in to see that?

I know the hotel. I go and watch them my husband is good friend with the owners. The show is amazing i never get tired of seeing them.

word to the wise ordering the notes is better later then sooner lol I ordered my first set in November and nothing was started and it was really depressing! Finally in march notes I started to see happening and then others like me that have been over a year some of them nothing is still on their notes. It is basically up to u, they only cost 5.00 but yes very depressing when nothing is happening lol
