Good Morning everyone! I just got back from Jamaica yesterday a week was way too short!!! missing my husband like crazy n its only been a couple of days since I left. :( I got to work this morning and I had sent Kingston a email from my work email and this is what they sent back to me.

Dear Madam

Thank you for your email.

This Family Class application was received by our office on 25 September 2012 after being forwarded by Case Processing Centre Mississauga. This application is currently pending initial review, after which we will contact the applicant directly to advise the outcome of the review and any next steps.

We are striving to make our processing of Family Class applications as efficient as possible. We continue to meet our commitment to a service standard of 6 months to finalization for at least 80% of cases for sponsored spouses, partners, and children. Processing times are calculated from the date the application is approved by Case Processing Centre Mississauga, after which it is sent to the visa office for further processing. For individual cases, actual processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the application and the number of new applications received by the visa office.

Applicants can check the status of their case on the CIC website by clicking on Client Application Status. For actual processing times of permanent resident applications in Kingston for the last 12 months, please click here. Applicants may also refer to our website, www.jamaica.gc.ca, for more information about processing times.

Regards

LOL well after my last email to them being very colourful wording lol I'm sure they thought they should get back to me before I got upset. It sucked leaving again n I did good till yesterday. The first time I havent cried in almost 5 Years and then after talking to him on the phone yesteday n knowing he cried yea that all went out the window lol :( my poor husband wanted to come with me so bad and he was upset that I came down there early and that I couldnt bring him back with me. But I couldnt be away any longer.

Nope. Mine is the same. Three weeks ago I also noticed they didn't have my husbands Parrish on his mailing address (how can they miss that) I emailed them and it still goes unchanged

I once got a hold of someone there by accident in the accounting department. I took the opportunity to ask how many immigration officers they has working on our files.
Anyone care to have a guess???

L
Keep in mind. They also process 3 other countries there too for a total of four countries including Jamaica....

yes it is sooo hard to leave them behind......i cry for days after and hubby is just miserable....they say Canada strives to keep family unification in the fore front but how can that be when these process are soo long.......how would they feel if they couldn't be with their spouses for around 18 months and some VO's have longer timelines then ours!
