Good afternoon everyone,

Thought I would take a break from my paper and say hi and catch up.

@ TinTIn... I think we have the same VO. Based on my notes my case has been assigned to SG01309. I think that is Sonia Griffiths and from what I am gathering she is slow as molasses.

@ Danielle...Hunny my MP just got a response from her inquiry and my file is still in the initial process as well and my application has been there since Feb. 2012. So mine has more than dust it has cob webs and dust bunnies...lol!

At the end of it all...I am not deflated or discouraged...my husband will get through and we will live together and start the life we talk about all the time. Until then...Lime, DigiCel, Western Union, Air Canada, West Jet, and all the long distance relationship partners will be getting a bit richer.

The Lord is always working and his timing does not reflect what the flesh wants...he works within the spirit.

I read something from Joel Osteen today:
Will you stay in faith while you wait to see what God is up to? Trust God with your Life. HE knows what HE is doing.

So I am asking all of us who are waiting...Let us walk in the fruits of the spirit let us be faithful and patiently wait on our Lord. Cause he knows what HE is doing and HE has PERFECT Timing.

Believe me girl.....we have all gone through what you are feeling.....this process is much like a roller coaster ride with all the mood changes we experience. Alot has to do with not knowing where you are in the process and that can leave a lot of depression and frustration but try to think positive.....that is what has gotten me through all this.....they can't stop you and hubby from being together and one day this WILL end and you just have to plug through each day until that time that you two can be together because you will be!

hey there sis......you are doing the right thing in been professional......they think that they can get on your nerve so much that you will just give in and break down to there level...show them that you are bigger than them.....i know the feeling that you have going thru you. Right now i want to write them and tell them a piece of my mind but i just look into myself and say that it would not be good for the wifey at all......so im just holding it in until i get wat we want.....God is opening up a lot of door for us and no man or woman can close them

This is YOUR application and you deserve to feel let down but please don't let it keep you down! The lack of communication from Kingston and not knowing where things are at with your application makes it worse. Then you see people getting through that applied around the same time as you and it gives you hope that maybe you will be next. And then you get an email response from Kingston telling you your application is waiting for initial review. So of course it will leave you frustrated and wondering what the heck 'initial review' even means...

I refuse to feed the Devil and give him any satisfaction. In the mean time I am on Air Canada.com about to purchase what I am hoping to be my last trip to Jamaica until we at least visit three other countries lol!

Good for you! I'm holding off booking a trip to JA until the end of May in hopes that hubby will get PPR by then. I promised him I would pick him up and deliver him to Canada when the time comes so I don't want to book a trip and then have to turn around a month later to go back and get him. Money doesn't grow on trees!!!!

I told my hubby the same thing that I want to be with him on his first plane ride. As for this trip my hubby doesn't know that I am coming I've been telling him that one morning he is going to wake up and I will just be there. Once I write my last exam I am up up and away for two weeks.

This forum is the best thing since "Slice Bread". My co-workers, peers, and anyone who knows me knows about this forum. Sometimes I think they get a bit jealous..I tell them that this forum offers support and advice that they can't give me.

We may have different stories and cases but we are united and similar because of this process and wanting to be with our loved ones. No one other than a sponsor or applicant will ever get the true sense or meaning of that.

So Thank you guys for always being there...Thanks for being a message, text, or phone call away!!!

I'm sorry about the explosion. But I just couldn't help it.
I see some of these timelines and feel terrible that some of you have been waiting a year to a year and a half just to be able to live a normal life. With our spouses. We are entitled to this! It hurts me to think that someone who sits at a desk and has somehow aquired the title of "immigration officer" however easy or difficult it may have been, has never felt the pain of living apart from the one you have chosen to spend the rest of your life with.
I crumble inside even further to know I may have another year ahead of me? Sigh!

You need not to feel Sorry! It is better to vent than let all of your emotions bottle up inside (that's not good for you). If you can't talk to your fam and be yourself then what's the point of having an extended support system.

I hear you...how does one decide whom will they process now or later. This is and will be the million dollar question.

the one thing that shines through in all this....we have all been where you are and can relate........my friends and family can't relate to what i am going thru, no matter how many times i hear "I know how you must be feeling"- ......"f that"....you don't know how i am feeling until you walk this road......that is why we are here for each other!
