If you don't mind me asking....which documents did you leave off and they needed to finalize. ?
We only sent a copy of his JA birth certificate cause his was all ripped n torn. He is trying to go get a new one next week incase they ask for that...
What else do they ask for when that beautiful day arrives for PPR?
Ok so long story...
First...my doctors office sent off my paperwork when they sent the medicals (to the wrong spot) When I got it back I immediately sent it to the right place (Mississuaga).
2nd, I never read the entire guide so I did not know that I had to include IMM form and the doctors office didnt tell my husband. Had to send that off after I asked here on the forum after people kept talking about this IMM form.
3rd, I did not send the FBI clearance for my husband as he lived in the US for 5 years.. Had to apply and send that.. took almost 4 months
4th, then in transit they must have lost the piece of paper that I had the additional information on.. So I had to email that...
5th, then they want my hubbys original birth certificate, our original marriage certificate, and my daughter's canadian citizenship letter (email said original certified copies) That means to me... go get some copies certified to send to them...
They didnt want certified copies!!! They want ORIGINALS..
so I sent that back.. (bear in mind.. DHL one way to KINGSTON is $75.00 CAD/US)
and I didnt want to send them because I knew I was leaving soon and needed my daughters papers.
Finally on Dec 27th, they wanted DHL slip and passport.. Received on the 28th and they sent back on the 23rd of January.
And
YES! IT PAYS TO READ THE GUIDE! ;D My file could have been finished in 3 to 4 months probably... Although I cannot complain June 27th to Jan 23rd aint bad either.
