Hey one of my favorate sis....how are you doing today.....sorry i been missing in action for a few days......im not going anywhere...you know that i have to check up on everyone here and see what going on......so how is your thing coming on....still nothing here.lol..........i have email kingston asking about if i should redo my medical since it expired not but i have not go back any response from them but we all know how they are......

My medicals had expired in January 2011 and it wasn't till April b4 they asked me 2 redo it......c the delay time

He is picking it up at the Canadian High Commission in Kingston.
and YES.....He will be home for Christmas!!!!!!

Hey RL....ur husband is picking up his visa in Kgn......did he have to get a DHL envelope???????and if he did what's the reason picking it up in KGN.......

They won't answer.....its expired now right......I think if they even call you to bring in ur pp they r going to want it and u will still end up doing it.......

BTW, a few members have been proactive and have done their medicals before Kingston requested it. It would save some time...I think you should go for it as Kingston will most likely tell you to "wait" until they request it.

C maddants I agree with ceeallan.....dem would just love to delay ur papers.....do it.....u will b a step ahead.....keeping thinking about my timeline.....3mths b4 they contacted me for another one.....do it I say.......lol

If you happen to be in the final stretch for visa selection, the concern would be moreso around the expiry of your police certificate (if this happens to be the only hold up) as they could request for an extention on your medicals since the police certificate cannot be extended.

EDIT: If BOTH are up, then it could be a good thing to go ahead and redo.

Im not sure how the process goes for redo-ing medicals (if it's the same as how we initially do it when submitting our application to CIC-M, or not), and I dont want to give u the wrong information so im hoping someone else here can give u an insight....

Yes it is the same... my husband redid meds and pcc unprompted by Kingston. You need to take passport pics with you, your passport, the appendix C form, and a photocopy of your bio page from your passport as well as the fee. Make sure you let them know it is a redo (unprompted) when booking the apt. Our doctor didn't have a problem with it but another doc might.

As far as pcc, same format as the first time....

The only difference between med redoes that are prompted is that Kingston gives you papers that have your passport pic on it and therefore you wouldn't have to pay for new ones etc.

When we redid ours.......it was the same way.......only the police check was different.....we didn't have to pay for the police check.....they sent some paper with to us.....but hubby still went with a little money in his pocket.....u know how yard stay......

ok........but what i really want to know if i go on my own and do it ...how will i get appendix paper to give the doctor and how do i send them to the embassy

You can print the appendix C off the internet and then you would DHL your receipt from the doctor and the certificate from pcc at the same time to Kingston...
