CAIPS is the old system that they used for managing the files. Now they have implemented GCMS (global case management system) which, to my understanding, has taken over from CAIPS.

The $67 is a lot considering you can order your notes directly from Ottawa for $5. But, a lot of people don't know this. najj has ordered her notes from a middle man service hence the larger fee. They do however offer extras for their higher fees such as tracking your download, and translation services to better help you understand the coding used in the notes.

Halfmoon......Ik about the $5 but I don't think that gives u Jamaica's file from kingston bcuz there's another paper that ur spouses have 2 sign which I did....cut and paste is so good.....and I think the $5 is only for certain areas in canada could obtain it for that fee.....there's another member by the name of computergeek on the other forum....very knowledgeable....he's the 2nd person 2 inform me of it.....it can go as high as $120.....I only ordered it bcuz I wasn't hearing anything...I'm glad I did....gives me an insight of things......$67 was a bit but bwoy when u don't here from immigration...u do anything.....and I heard news b4 getting my files back but its all good

I 100% agree with you about doing anything when you don't hear from immigration. It can mad you! So glad that you have movement on your file! amazing that $5 or $67 whichever (it doesn't matter really), can buy you some peace!

and yes, computergeek is knowledgeable about notes, he orders them every month!! (I don't know if I would recommend ordering them every month lol but I am tempted to do it lol)

After filling out all forms and including relationship proofs, do not forget to include his medical certificate and his police check certificate...

you will need a photocopy of his birth certificate and a photocopy of the info page in his passport (picture; name; birthdate)

you will need to send in a copy of your marriage certificate with your relationship proofs...
