Has anyone ever sent Kingston additional information/proof of your relationship for your application without being asked for it? I'd like to know if I should wait until we're asked for it or if we should send it now. Please let me know your experience and/or advice.
I sent them an email in August advising them we had additional evidence to support the continuing of our relationship and they responded no further action was required and that our file was in process. Hope this helps.

I also presume that since your hubbie has yet to be convoked of an interview, you're in the clear where that's concerned. Hold tight.

Well thank God there are people on this forum that are willing to give the advice for FREE!!!!!!! We're all 'third party' on this forum and we don't charge s**t!!!! Think of the $$$$ someone like Charlie could have made if she would have charged for all of the advice she has offered!!!!!!!!

Yes, ma'am. *slithers away to the naughty corner sulking*

(Thanks for the positive outlook at the end of your 2nd paragraph - I never looked at it from that angle. That should keep me satisfied for at least one month.) ;)

The rules are the same for both airlines.

You can take one piece of carry-on baggage up to 22 pounds
You are allowed one free checked piece of baggage up to 50 pounds
You are allowed one additional piece of checked baggage up to 50 pounds and it will cost $20 (you can pay for this in cash at the airport)

For further info; visit the websites at:

Air Canada: http://www.aircanada.com/en/travelinfo/airport/baggage/index.html

Westjet: http://www.westjet.com/guest/en/travel/basics/baggage/index.shtml

They will serve you a small (equivalent to one small mouthful) bag of pretzels or two cookies and one, two if you get lucky non-alcoholic beverages for free. If you want to buy food i.e. sandwiches, pizza, cheese, crackers, chips, etc. they are available for approx $6 each. You have to pay by credit card because they no longer use cash. If you don't have a credit card you can purchase vouchers to use when you buy your plane ticket to come to Canada.
Yes, you can take your own food on the plane.

I have travelled both and as far as "friendly" service, I think both are favorable but maybe tend to lean more to the westjet side for that. All I care about really is the price of my ticket, flying times (layovers for me) and weight allowance. Friendly service comes last on my priority list.

Westjet you are allowed 1 checked bag at 44lbs and a checked bag for a fee of $20. You are also allowed one 22 lb carry on.

Air Canada allows you one checked bag at 50lbs and a second for a fee ($20?) and your carry on is RARELY ever weighed and you are also allowed a second carry on as a personal item such as a ladies purse, diaper bag etc.

You can carry food on the planed to eat with the exception of liquids ie/beverages. all beverages carried on the plane must be purchased after going thru security. so if you purchase a soda or a fresh coffee just make sure you do so once up by your gate.

Hope I answered this accurately and if I made a mistake Im sorry!

EDIT: my bad, sunwing is 44 lbs not westjet.

My hubbie said he's going to fill his suitcase with yam, banana, dasheen, cocoa bread...

I said, careful babes, they may mistake you for immigrating under business class to set up a supermarket.

Both airlines offer purchase on board sandwiches and premium snacks by credit card.

Westjet's offers greater value in luggage options and service levels are comparable to AC.

You can bring your own food; no outside drinks.

Maddants you can cross out my post as this is accurate.....except for the part of hubbie stuffing his suitcase full of produce.
