I respect everyone has an opinion, and on that note I am so so so glad I dont have step children. I couldnt deal with that drama. praise god, thank you for sending me a man free in clear, cuz lord knows I have my own baggage.

An update on how everything is going, his daughter is all done with her birth certificate, she is working on passport now, his son is a little more difficult, he only had the entry number going in and on that his last name was spelled incorrectly, so incorrectly they actually think it is a different last name so now my husband has an interview something or other with the birth certificate people on Thursday and then he has to go from there back to the other birth certificate place. Nothing is ever easy but a so it goes! ;D I told him it is his punishment for not listening to me in the first place when I told him everything had to go in with the application. grrrrr men lol

As a wife a mother and step mother I put my family above all else and yes ... People try bring drama my way and yes there are negative bullshit people who push and push... And most definatly I will push back cause I'm a woman who put myself out there fi make sure my family all right and like I said b4 the only time I will ackwoledge bullshit people and there drama is when they bring my pickney in the mix once that happens I will not hold back...

Hi my kingston ja massive am new to ur forum however i applied for spousal sponsorship may 30th 2012 received my aor july 10th and approval on the 11th so they file is off to kingston ja howsoon can i expect to hear something from high commission in ja?

Good morning forum family, is it true that if you inquiry about the status of your case prior to the elasped processing time that it slows down the processing of your application? I had my MP inquiry 3 times since I received approval of sponsorship back in October 2011. I hope I have not messed anything up by doing so and I just sent another email to them asking if we should proactively redo the medicals and police check. Someone who has inquired a lot and gotten through quick please comfort my heart.

FLK - making enquiries may slow down the processing as it is necessary for someone to pull the file to acknowledge a query. If it is fairly routine, then it doesn't usually have an impact. If you do it very often, it may become an issue.

At this point, given the backlogs and other files ahead of you, you may be looking at anywhere from at least 6 months (KG minimum processing time) to anything above that to hear anything on your file. So, relax, get on with whatever you have to do before you head to Canada, and keep on keeping on with your spouse.

Jamgirl, the Immigration section is open at 7:00 a.m. PPR's range throughout the day. I had both of my calls in the 9:30 a.m. time frame, and I do believe SQ's husband was contacted in the early morning around 7:30 a.m. Many have had calls in the late afternoon, past 5:00 in some cases.

I'm trying to book my husbands flight from Toronto to Kingston and WOWSERS....It's going to be like $900 for just him return and about another $400 for his daughter one way from JA. That's so crazy. I hate that these stupid airlines jack up prices on holidays, it's fucking robbery. Like who has that kind of money to spend. Ughhh soooooo annoyed right now!!

I agree with you ready. Sometimes people need to be put in their place or else they treat you like doormat and walk all over you.

I would never wish my husband to not have his daughter cause she is a blessing. I just choose to not deal with the mother and keep the peace cause she's a fool.

My two cents on the mother of step children front.... I had two step children in my first marriage and dealt with nuff fukry from their mother. Yes, I kept everything negative thing I thought and said bout their mother, away from the children. But don't think for one second that woman ever got much respect from me. I started out trying to form a civil relationship with her, but anytime she want something she manipulate the children to get it and I have no use for "tihs" like that! Stand your ground ladies! But the hardest thing was my ex turned ta jelly-spine when she start her shit an neva stand up to her like a man.... it caused me nuff frustration mi tell yu....

I am so grateful that my husband has no children or ex spouse that could try to interfere in our relationship now. Don't get me wrong, I would still accept his children as they would be a part of him, but thankful I don't have an ex to deal with.

Big up to all the women bringing their step children to Canada!!! It nuh always easy... best piece of advice I can offer, when confronted with a situation.... it easiest to deal with these issues if both you adn your spouse are on the same page and in agreeance.... and if your not, try to settle it away from the children so they don't see your team "weakness".
