Hi Ladies, so nice to see the progress of everyone on the board. Kingston is really doing a good job.

Now if only the RCMP in Ottawa could send my husbands fingerprints back to Kingston quickly, I would be so happy. Im jus waiting. It hasnt been a month since he dropped off his fingerprints and I already feel like its forever.

Yes Basha!!!! Great landing story!!! Congrats again and again. Every Sunday me n hubby go supermarket and today we were laughing down the aisles and yesterday we just did nothing but kick back on the lawn enjoy the warm weather...right now these small things seem so precious to me. Life is goooooood!!

Wonderful day and great weather for long weekend! Sitting at home listening to firecrackers going off outside...too tired to go out lol...plus, saw a few last night so I'm good.

5 months today since we filed!!! Wow, time really flies!! Ready to be with my hubby and start a family now, but in the meantime working and just trying to get things together for his arrival. Still working out...lost 9 pound so far!!!! Looking to loose about 10 more by end of June.

Does anyone know where online I can find coupons/promo codes for hotels in Jamaica?

Yes @ Sammystorm...get the long form birth certificate that includes your Father's information, they won't accept our regular "short form" blue ones in JA

Actually just so you know... they will accept the short form ones at a small cost... you will have to list father as unkown. THis is what I had to do as I found out at the last minute about needing the long form one and didn't have time to get a long form. I used my short form one and my certified copy lists my father as unkown. It isn't ideal, but I am married and that was what was important to me. Maybe this is what is holding up my application in Kingston now that I think about it

on to the questions .... soes anyone here know about the process goes to adopt a family member in jamaica my mom wants to adopt here niece who is 11 years old and wants to know what the steps she has to take in order to get it done ... i have been on a few sites and checked things out but my real concern is will she have to get a lawert involved or can she do it on her own without legal representation any help to this question will be greatly appreciated

If it says on the paper "be advised XXX does not appear in our records" and is signed by a police commissioner and has his picture attached, then he has the correct thing. Tell him to sign on the dotted line below the picture, and voila, done!

Yes, those two pics he submitted to the police with his fingerprints go on the police report/certificate. Below the picture is a line that says "signature of person named" for him to sign on.
