Hello Forum Fam,

how was your weekend? I attended a wedding.. it was beautiful to be there but secretly sad hubby was not Oh, soon come, right?

I am reposting a question I asked earlier but I don't think it was answered... does anyone have any thoughts on this...?

The question I have with my file is... My hubby did the medical in August, and then we sent in app in October... because of this, KGN received app at the same time as the medicals. My question is, do you think that when they received my file in KGN along with medicals, would they have put it in queue with the other files that had "medicals received" or would mine have been put in line with other October applicants??

Hello Fourm!

I have been following the fourm for MONTHS now and well i'm finally decided that I need to join in on all the fun!!!

And since I've joined thought I may as well ask a question or two!

My hubby got a call last week from the Canadian Embasy to bring in his passport, 2 passport photos and something from DHL. We have both been wondering if this is good news or something we should be worried about.

He is planning on taking in his passport, photos, and the DHL (i guess envelope) into the embassy on Tuesday. Today he asked me if I thought they would be doing an interview with him then, I told him that I don't believe so but wasn't 100% sure.

We are just wondering what we should be expecting... is this good news, will be be joining me in Canada soon or is it just the begining of more waiting?

Hey Jamgirl. Soon come is right...hang in there. There will be many occasions to be shared.

Your file goes in with other applicants from October. Initially the system is first come, first served. So it will wait with other files from the same time until the initial review, and then after the initial review, it will go to be processed by the IO. Depending on your factors from the initial review, after that your timeline becomes individual.

Bling, welcome and stick and stay for the short time you have left, LOL. Your husband is at the end of his processing, there is no interview to be done at this stage. He is submitting his PP and the pics and airwaybill from DHL for his PP with visa inserted to be returned to him! Congratulations and jubilations, go and plan your reunion, you are in the homestretch!!

Good morning everyone!

we've been so busy here, had a trip to the uk (cold cold - our boys wore jackets for the first time in their almost 2 years!!!) and getting back into the swing of things here in Cayman...

So I got a call start of January saying my hubby's application was almost complete, and that his medical ran out on 24th Jan, would we be able to land before then. Unfortunately we weren't able to, so we did the medical re-do.

Hubby had a missed call from KGN on 31st January, which we assume was to ask him to get the courier to pick up the paperwork... unfortunately, he didn't get the call and we've emailed several times back and heard NOTHING.

I'm at a loss what to do now - hubby has given his 3 months notice at work (lots of wiggle room I think!) and booked flights (silly I know but they were on a GREAT sale!). Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can get back in touch with KGN? Its' so strange that they would call once on 31 Jan and nothing since!!!!

Hey Meg! Have you tried emailing KG using the case-specific enquiry address or the general email address? If you've been using the CSE address, try the general one. If you have been using the general one, I can't say much except keep trying. In general they have responded more quickly to that general one, never actually gotten a reply from using the CSE address. I hope they get you guys sorted soon! Tell the kids the UK was a dry run for living in Canada, haha!

Well, it's a lovely new week, and maybe February's extra day will bring a family on here some extra luck! Meanwhile, KG, it's all you! NNEEEXXXTTT!!!

The woman I spoke to at KGN gave me the email address, I think it was the general one though. I know this is probably a pain but would you be able to give me the two different addresses and we'll try them as well?

There's also a "consulate" here in Cayman, which isn't much more than a couple of volunteers answering questions about passport and visa applications - I think we're going to call them (hubby used to work next door to them) and see if there's anything they can do for us!!
