LOL Mrslwsn... i just got back on Feb 2 from a visit with hubby but it don't help... even sittin on the plane I am already missin his embrace.. I know I am not the only one... I am hoping that we get our call soon. Our one year wedding anniversary coming up in March.. hubby told me that if they dont call, he want me to be in JA with him for that. Just not sure if the budget will allow that

TRUST me my girl, I know the feeling *sigh* It gets a bit easier as time goes by, or maybe I just block it out now, cuz I dont get as emotional as I used to..now we just going thru the motions..I am thinking of making a small April trip tho...Maybe Easter..

Ugh....k.....Hubby was in Canada for 9 months. We only did police certificate for JA, but application has been approved and sent of to Kingston.......I guess I should expect this roadblock soon???? I really luv all you's but i should stay outta the forums LOL :'(

OH gosh Mrs Shaw..It's so tru, lololol sometimes its good n bad getting info...If he was in Canada they will do a RCMP check...I am kmrt fi yu

AliCatShaw, your husband would not have been able to initiate his Canadian Police clearance, the RCMP has to receive the request from KG. Like I said before, just because I'm hitting road blocks does not mean you will. Who know's maybe Can4Vincy and I were/are at the end of the backlog and you'll get through right away.

The key is not to get discouraged by my misfortune, I'm just making sure I help you set some realistic expectations. There's not a lot of information out there for those of going through this. We gain our knowledge from word of mouth, this forum, our friends/family who have gone through this.

Ok, all will be good.....it will be.....any roadblocks just make us stronger. Man I tell ya our spouses really have some great partners and likewise....What doesn't kill you makes you stronger....I know God tests me....He's trying to make me a more patient person....He has such a naughty sense of humour. ;D

So March break is around the corner and i cant wait for my trip to ontario. i'll be looking at buying a house in Brampton...yeahhh..gots to prepare before hubby reaches up. this move is going to be a huge change for me and hubby but atleast we will be doing it together so yeahhh again.

18 Days and counting, 18 days and counting...weeeee...I can not wait to see Hubby and Bask in the Negril sunshine, have some fabulous food and hear the sweet subtle sounds of reggae in background as I sip on something ice cold! Ahhh...just cant wait!
Oh and I'm already packed! ;D
Ugggh not happy about this airline, I just assumed all baggage was the same , and I got a so-so decent rate so I booked Air Transat only to discover I'm allowed 1 checked bag at 44 lbs.? Really!?! and I'm staying 2 full weeks, not good at all! And now Air Canada has the same deal and they charge $20 for an extra bag...less is more- I guess I will have to make it work.. :'(

Hope all is well, C'mon KG....Need some more families together this week! please and thank you!

Don't fly Transat - this coming from a travel agent Baggage sucks on them. I am going for 2 weeks as well and I am going with WestJet. Here is a little trick for you. You are allowed 1 carry on with the flights. This doesn't include your purse. Fill your carry on with a lot of things and bring a big purse so you can fit more in that

Suki we need to get together when I am down there. I will PM you the number that I will be using down there and if you can call and we can make plans let em know. I'd love to get together when I am in Negril. I will need it since I will be all over the island the 2 weeks I am down there

Sounds Good Sammy, oh yes I have my purse and carry on stuffed!! ;D I dont mind the charter flights because usually they are direct flights from Calgary, which I love ! I guess I dont really need much stuff, and hubby doesnt ask for anything-Just Country music CD's :-X
I dont plan on doing much driving, but I really do want to go to Rose Hall in MoBay, the white witch !! eeeek...

I have a connection flight through Toronto on the way there but a direct back to Halifax on the return. I am from Toronto and miss all the directs out of there. Living in Halifax most of the flights are connections.

I am half way packed. Hard figuring out what to bring for two weeks - but if I don't have something I go SHOPPING!!!. The mister hasn't asked for anything but underwear....i don't know why but he did.

Suki, add a thing called option plus to your air transat ticket. It's $79.00 round-trip but yu get all kinds of perks plus 22 lbs extra each way. You can add this to your ticket up to 2 days prior to your flight.
