Hi Tasha I did the interview. They then called the sponsor. At the end of the interview they said the sponsor answers are slightly off. They also say they don't think the relationship is legit. With all the pictures and messages they got. Our wedding was not private either. I told her in no way its a planned marriage after 6 years of relationship n 2 years of marriage. Then she said she will review it all over again and then make a decision within 2 to 3 working days..... the questions they ask were questions pertaining to his past relationship. Like why he broke up with his kids mom what cause all that? How old the kids are? And alot of questions pertaining to his past that I didn't even care about knowing.

Hi Nickole, did you hear back from IRCC after the interview? Could you share your update?

Any movement on appilcations? It's quiet on my end.

Yes I did I was refused. Got a letter stating that we could appeal the case. So we are now doing an appeal and the lawyer charge 7500 cad for appeal

Let's hope. These ppl are so crazy. Cam we even be planning this for almost 6 years. How could they have so many proof and still has the audacity to say the relationship is not genuine.

I’m worried about mine too. Refusal once but we changed a few things on application.

Did you re submit your application? Or was it a visiting visa the first time. Let's hope for the best with you because every situation is different

Why did you not appeal ?

First mistake, we didnt put children as accompanying upon first arrival to canada, at first we wanted to get prepared here for the children and then go get them. didnt look good on application due to previous history with applicant overstaying work visa and history from that era. so our immi lawyer suggested reapplying and add the children to accompanying applicant rather than appealing. took advice and see how it goes this time around. if nothing positive then we will appeal.

It was family sponsorship but had history on applicants part and made mistake of not putting children as accompanying as we wanted to get our home finished before bringing them up. we have 5 children altogether. so needed to home renos etc. immi lawyer suggested reapplying and changing to children accompanying this time around.
