Just sent outland permanent residency, what now help please????

Hello everyone

My husband is Mexican and i am Canadian and we just sent out PR application to Mississaugua. Do we now wait for a letter, phone call e-mail??

In about 6 weeks you will receive a letter stating whether or not you've been approved as a sponsor. Likely you have, and then the file will be transferred to the Mexican visa office.

You can use the ID number on your receipt (if you paid online) to check the status of your application on ecas. It will say Decision Made about 5-7 days before you get the letter.

Great thanks, i did pay online so i will check that out.
I can only check though after i have received the letter in 6 weeks right?

No, you can check anytime. You won't show up until they process your application though, so it only gives you a week's notice. The best thing to do is sign up for Matthew's ecas tracker. You put in all of your info and it will check ecas for you many times a day, and then email you when there is an update. Trust me, this will save you many, many frustrating attempts at checking to see if there is an update!

I don't have the link handy, but it's in Matthew's signature, look around for his posts, or hopefully someone will post here.

Just another question. We just send the outland PR aswell. Now I am in my own country still, but when can I go back to Canada? After the (+/-) 45 days, as soon as my partner (the sponsor) gets the letter that he has been approved to sponsor? Or earlier?

If you have a multiple visitors you can go back whenever i think but if not you will have to wait for the whole process to be done. Hope that helps sorry if not.

Yes, also at another topic people have been telling me I didnt even need to leave Canada in the first place when I was applying for the outland sponsor (I thought outland-applying actually had to happen with me being out of the land.. so outside of Canada)
But so yeah now I am going back Nov. 8! Yayy
