Ryan Niazi,
As to my understanding, the target is for both pre June and post June applicants. The reason why i think so is because in one visa office, the number of Post June applicants can not be up to 7000, for sure.sinhasharat said:Hi Wayne.
I have applied from Buffalo. As I understand each VO has a target number to process applications i.e. Buffalo has 7000/ London 15000 / Delhi 7000....
I am curious to know if this 7000 or 15000 target is for the period June 26 2010 to June 25 2011. What will happen to an application submitted before 26 June if is not processed till June 25 2011. Will it be out of race or !!!! ???
My understanding was that there was no cap for pre June 26th applications and that was suppose to remain as it is. If you or anyone can throw some light on this subject.

Thats very superb,, You have a point and I am also equally confuse related to this. Lakhavinder I think I am partially disagree with u. The quota doesnt work equal with every one, I think. and CIC year is June to June. Not Jan to dec.sinhasharat said:Hi Wayne.

I think you didn't get wat I said, here we are talking about visa quote mean how many immigrants are allowed to come in that particular period not about who will get priority, yes they give 1st preference to post june applicants and then pre june and the remaining visas will be issued to pre feb.2008 applicants. as you can see post june applicants have started getting visas... And off course they cannot issue visas to all post june applicants first and then start with pre june and so on. It depends on how many applicants from each category reached at processing level. Visa year starts from jan b'cos I have seen target are generally declared in dec end or jan 1st week. But yes cap for post june applicants starts from july to june which is very different from quota.kavya said:Thats very superb,, You have a point and I am also equally confuse related to this. And if u forget abt all this and just think for prejune also the one who are in 38 occulation list not in 29.. For them ,, how come they are still delaying.
Let me explain u in detail what I mean. See, Me and u are pre june applicants for 4131 right? now, if they dont have our NOC in post june, then what will they do all of us 4131 people will get visa one day may be on same date or year as we have no restriction of CAP.
At the same time, NOC 29 are will lot of restrictions. They must need to divide their cap amount in different categories. like 10% for pre feb'2008. 40% for pre june'2010, 40% for post June'2010 and then 10% will be for post june'2011. I cant judge wather or not this system working now. I feel they gave more visa for post june'2010.
Correct me if I am wrong

Ok, I got your point now.lakhvinder.kaur said:I think you didn't get wat I said, here we are talking about visa quote mean how many immigrants are allowed to come in that particular period not about who will get priority, yes they give 1st preference to post june applicants and then pre june and the remaining visas will be issued to pre feb.2008 applicants. as you can see post june applicants have started getting visas... That targets, as I understand it, are the number of visas that visa office is allowed to issue - and I believe it runs from April to April. So, for example, London office have a target of 17,500 FSW visas - which means they can only issue 17,500 FSW visas between 1st April 2011 and 1st April 2012. Once they hit this figure they cannot finalise any more FSW applications unless Canadian parliament increase their target.canadaforall said:As to my understanding, the target is for both pre June and post June applicants.
