My understanding is that you have a year from the date you did your medicals to land in Canada. So if you did your medicals on the 1st of Jan you have until the 31st of Dec to do it or if your passport expires earlier than the the 31st of December by the date your passport is to expire.

After you have landed you have 3 year to move fully as to retain your PR status you need to live in Canada for 2 out of a 5 year period.

One minor clarification... 2 out of 5 years have to be continuously...

I have 4 more hours to go before I call it a day.... I just spoke to CIC. Their new theory says that DM isnt a final decision made. More so, they are looking into my file to make a decision...

I can happily confirm that PPR landed in my inbox at 04:13am GMT. CIC must have hired people to do night shifts as it was 00:13am EDT!

Oh well, now the struggle for the VO change begins...
