Do all applicants get fingerprint request? or only some?

They run your personal information like name, DOB etc., against the RCMP database for criminality checks. If they find a partial match, they issue a FP request to make sure you are not the person found in the database. So not everyone gets an FP request, around 20-30% of folks get it.

Is it normal with other applicants that some files are processing quicker than others? I had also applied on June 23rd, Got AOR on July 2nd. Visible on tracker on 4th. But no update after that.

Perfectly normal. Each person's profile is unique.

In fact, even in the same group of family applications, they can process at different times.

It's normal. My partner and I applied the same day (June 23) - different applications, and her background is still in progress.

Updated. Likely you will get test invite in 10 days or so. But for some people it takes longer

I applied June 18th and no update.
Last updated in the tracker is June 28th.
Location Toronto. and the Toronto June ones in the tracker have not progressed much.
