Can anyone explain what further review below could mean?

If you still haven’t received your AOR, your application may be

• incomplete and on its way back to you, or
• going through further review before we start processing it

Submitted my wife's application online on the 19th and still haven't received AOR. She is traveling indefinitely on the 16th and we really wanted the peace of mind from AOR before she left.

Without knowing more details its hard to say. Usually aor is just to check that all documents are provided and complete. It could be verifying record of landing, brief check of days to qualify. Did you have additional security check during PR, visa of another country rejected or something of that sort?

None of that. I can just think of two things that might delay the AOR:

1. Credit of around 90 days on visitor status during eligibility period. Total physical presence days at the time of application were 1095.5
2. Her transcript as language proof. It was faxed so the quality wasn't so great.

For #1, she's had a lot of trips out of canada during eligibility period and I gave details of all of those. She's a US citizen and they don't usually scan her passport on entry so I am not even sure how they will verify all of it with CBSA.

The Application portal will stay like that forever. You can forget about it and start tracking your application in the tracker portal. You can register in the tracker after 2 days from your AOR.

It is most likely due to #1. When you have a lot of trips, specially when the passport is not scanned and the records might not be upto date, it is advisable to apply with sufficient buffer above the minimum 1095 days. Since you applied with exactly 109.5 days, they are probably scrutinizing further to make sure she is meeting the minimum physical presence. Hope you have not missed any travel entry in the calculations.

Please can someone help me with this question, this is the only hold in my application:

My 5 year eligibility period July 5, 2019 to July 4, 2024 is outside of my study permit time

Study permit - August 2016 to Jul 2018
Study permit extension - Aug 2018 to Oct 2019
Work permit - April 2019 to April 2022
PR - Sep 2021

Study permit is not impacting my number of days but my spouse's work permit statuses entered in his application are dependent on my study permit and he is a co-applicant in my citizenship application? I am not sure if I should I still add my study permit details or not?

The whole citizenship application process for my children took about 16 working days.

It is most likely due to #1. When you have a lot of trips, specially when the passport is not scanned and the records might not be upto date, it is advisable to apply with sufficient buffer above the minimum 1095 days. Since you applied with exactly 109.5 days, they are probably scrutinizing further to make sure she is meeting the minimum physical presence. Hope you have not missed any travel entry in the calculations.

They do not reach out, but they do have direct access to the CBSA database to verify the entry/exit.

I understand. How do they find out about exits through the land border? I understand that Airlines push exit information to CBSA when you board but the only way to get details of exits through the land border would be getting them from USCBP. You think that data also gets pushed to CBSA?

When you travel to the United States (US) at a land border crossing, Canada receives your biographic entry information from US authorities. We use this information to create your Canadian exit record.


When you leave Canada by air, we collect basic exit information directly from air carriers through passenger manifests. We do not share this information with the US.

Yes, the USCBP share the entry data with CBSA which updates the exit records. But the problem is that many a times the data is not fully and accurately updated and there are discrepancies. In such cases, IRCC asks the applicant to share the full passport scans of all pages and/or ask to come for an in-person interview to IRCC office to clarify the travel history gaps. They would also need boarding passes and other proofs to confirm the same.

In case of land borders with US, you can get a copy of I-94 from USCBP online for the accurate data.

Hoping that in your case they are able to verify it with CBSA database, if not brace yourself with all this data to be shared with IRCC.

You mean account for pr tracking? Then you might be able to reuse it, there is an option or question which says that. If you meant the pr portal for applying then that is not the one that is reused for citizenship tracking

I tried to sign in by resetting password but it still says invalid information etc.
PR tracker account sign in- we need to use UCI number and reset the password. Right?
