@maverick1982 Thanks, what is timeline right now to get Oath email? Does it need to change to "in progress" at tracker first?
For your office there is not much reference data. But the two whose LPP was completed, Oath came in a week. For some it changes in tracker first. For others, they directly get email (even before lpp reflects on tracker). Then suddenly everything turns green. I have notifications for email on phone, so i dont miss.

does it ever happen that someone gets rejection letter after LPP changes to completed in the portal ?
Maybe rare but it can happen if they find something they didn't catch before. They can cancel citizenship in the future if the candidate didn't disclose something critical in application which would have potentially affected the decision. Criminal/fraud etc

You will have to email and ask. Maybe , like the knowledge test, they will allow. Did it say in notice it has to be from within Canada?. If it doesn't, most likely they will allow
I read everything carefully and it doesn’t mention anything about this. Thank you ;)

Please update on the sheet. Thank you very much.

Language and Physical presence marked complete on 10 Oct, updated on Tracker 12 oct.
Prohibitions: In progress
Background verification: in progress (finger prints provided on 11 sep, not yet received to IRCC Van office as of 8th oct call to IRCC, FP evidence provided via webform on 11 Oct)
Office: Scarborough

Question 1: is the prohibition linked to background? or is it separate?
Question 2: How does Scr office fare in clearing off the load? Can I expect some movement in next 2 weeks (prohibitions complete and oath email?}

Surprisingly, the agent indicated that LPP was not started when I had called on the 8th Oct. I had read somewhere on the forum that agents have live view on your profile (no lag time like the tracker). Does it mean it takes just one day for the officer to perform the verification? I am not questioning the process but want to understand it better.

Q1. Yes, usually the Prohibitions is kept pending by the officer until the BG is completed. You can call RCMP and get an idea about when they sent the prints to IRCC. (Number to call 613-998-6362) Usually the end to end process is about 4-5 weeks for IRCC Vancouver to receive and update the prints. So you might see some movement next week (there may be delays linked to the long weekend). You can also call IRCC and check if your security screening is completed and your BG will be marked as completed after both Criminality (RCMP fingerprints and security screening by CSIS is completed).
Q2. SCR is one of the fastest offices in clearing application so you can definitely see some quick movement after your FP is received by Vancouver.

Q3. While different agents give different info, I have had many people report that the agent said LPP was not started and they saw the LPP completed in the tracker the next day (due to the 2 day tracker delay, this means it was completed 1 day before they had called the agent :) ) so you never know. Having said that, yes LPP is pretty straight forward, if your PP days are comfortable, travel history is easily verifiable and everything else checks out fine, usually the officer starts and completes it the same day.

Hello All, is there some information regarding Calgary processing office? I understand from some previous comments on this thread that it is slow, but how slow and what is the average time that we are looking at considering the data gathered. Do we have folks who have been through or are currently going through the process with Calgary office? Can someone please shed some light.

Thanks for the detailed answers. I had called RCMP a few days back and they mentioned that the report was mailed to IRCC Van office on 17 Sep. I was hoping to be an exception in the Van office trend of taking >30 days but c'est la vie ...Here's to a faster response after today.

Hello @hssrp, could you please help and explain what do you mean by prohibition are kept pending till the background is complete? My background is marked as completed but the prohibitions (LPP) are still in progress. Thank you.
