Hi All, I need advise regarding the inland spousal application. My husband was working in Ireland and came to Canada on tourist visa . i applied for his inland PR application. However due to some reasons it was already 4 months here and no updates on application so now he went back to Ireland. Now we received Biometric request directly.
I wanted to know if he can give his biometric from there or he has to come back and give his biometric in Canada only as application is Inland ?
Please suggest and advise.

I didnt get any AOR, however my wife (PA) just got a BIL Letter, does that count as AOR, can we use the application number starting with "F" for work permit application. TIA
Hey I am in the same condition, can you please share your application update? did you apply for OWP ?

Hey everyone,

Inland spouse PR Application submitted: July 4, 2023

BIL received: Sep 8, 2023, completed: Sep 12, 2023

No AOR yet

My wife is on a visitor visa which expired at the end of July 2023.

1- BIL has an application number starting with F, can it be counted as AOR? Should we apply for OWP?

2- If not, should we apply for restoration for a visitor visa?

Thank you in advance!

it is usually mentioned on the BIL that if you are outside Canada you can go to VAC most convenient to you.
P.S. I am in the same condition the difference is my wife is in Canada. Got BIL directly no AOR yet

Some ppl received BIL/MIL without AOR. As long as you receive the BIL which means your application has been accepted and processed. But you need the AOR email to apply for the OWP

Hello,

My visitor visa expired before I submitted my Family sponsorship application, so I applied for a visitor visa extension first. I was granted a six-month extension with a condition for a medical examination, which I completed within the given timeframe before applying for permanent residence (PR). The IRCC used the same medical examination for my PR application as well.

Here is a timeline of my application process:
- Applied on: June 23, 2023
- Medical Status updated: August 23, 2023
- Biometric: August 24, 2023
- Eligibility Approval: September 05, 2023
- Pre-Arrival E-mail: September 09, 2023
- Sponsorship Approval Letter: October 05, 2023
- Inland APR Eligibility Decision Letter: October 05, 2023

I have a few questions:

1) I received an Inland APR Eligibility Decision Letter that mentions my eligibility requirements for applying for permanent residence have been determined. Is this considered an Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR)?

2) In my Inland APR Eligibility Decision Letter, it also states, "You must have legal temporary resident status in Canada to remain in the country legally." Since my Temporary Resident Permit extension is expiring next month and my PR application is still in process and awaiting a decision, do I need to leave the country or apply for a Temporary Resident Permit to remain in Canada legally?

3) In the same letter, it says, "If you have not already done so, you may now apply for an open work permit," which confuses me. When I applied for Family Sponsorship under the Canada Class, I indicated that I wanted to apply for an open work permit and paid $155 CAD along with the PR and the Right of Permanent Residence Fee. I believed that the open work permit would be processed and issued after the AOR since IRCC has all my documents. If I proceed to apply for the open work permit separately, it asks for the work permit fees of $155 CAD again, which I already paid as mentioned earlier. Do I need to pay it again, and how can I prove that I've already paid it? I have a receipt for the payment I made, but it shows the total sum, so I'm not sure how to demonstrate this.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance on my situation.

We submitted through a representative on June 15th.

On September 8th, we received an AIP letter ("It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence
as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.").

On October 5th, we (our rep) received the same letter again.

Has anyone received two AIP letters, or perhaps might know why? The contents are exactly the same.
