Hi guys - I got AOR on Sep 15. I am in the process of getting a job offer outside North America. Can I use this job offer to change my regular application to an "urgent application"? I am asking because the job opportunity is not dependent on me becoming a Canadian citizen. Simply having a job offer outside Canada can be grounds for an application to be processed under urgent timeline?

Application submitted on June 1st.
AOR September 7th and my background check is still in progress. So frustrating. The same happened to my PR application.They didn’t touch it for 8 months and ended up waiting for a year and a half to get my PR. I can not find my application using ECAS tracking

Aor since sep 13th in process since oct 15 but background check still in progress. Everyone else seems to be getting background check complete so not sure what’s happening with my application

No, you can’t use job offer out of Canada as ground for urgent processing request.

Same timelines. Only difference is CIC has asked for finger prints in Oct 2021. No update since then.

That’s the concern I have. I haven’t even received a fingerprint request. While others have either received BC complete OR FP request.

Wait is the only option. I was checking google spread sheet of June 2021 applicants. Still many applicants are waiting for completion of background check.

ECAS only works for paper applications
