Its better to wait for AOR this is what customer service agents would generally recommend

In general, does moving to another area or province affect the processing of a citizenship application ? I guess applications are processed by the local or regional offices, so does moving to a new address which is not in the same area or region, cause a delay since the case file has to be transferred to a different office ? Is there a recommendation when is the best time for a long-distance move during processing, such that it wouldn't impact the processing time ?

Thank you for the reminder. Hoping to receive but keeping in view every day is being added to the processing time of PR renewal (now 126 days) it seems we’ll end up seeing huge delay in citizenship as well as all other application.

Has anyone who has applied after June 15 has had their application returned. Is it safe to say that applications that are not returned in two months be considered complete. I mean they will ultimately receive the AOR?

The norm for returning applications is 2 months. But, I have seen one case where the application was sent on June 9th and returned on August 24th (2 months and half). It's definitely way less likely now that they return June applications especially beginning of June ones but it's not impossible.

Good luck!

What do you mean by "everyday is being added to the processing time of PR renewal"? My PR is not gonna expire any time soon and I will definitely have my citizenship before it expires. But, I have heard that you just give them your PR at the ceremony even if it's expired. You're correct that our AORs are pretty delayed potentially because of COVID and the new online system they are trying to get used to. But, I don't think we can foresee what happens next. Who knows we might get the request for the test really quickly. Also, it's just a delay of 2 months if everything else gets over as fast as before.

I hope with these elections they don't delay the processing.
