I had two updated today: One "Ghost Update" (this could have been late yesterday), and another update that removed the information regarding my medicals from the profile.

Just talked to IRCC over the phone.

My Eligibility changed from Recommended Pass to Pass. The person on the phone couldn't tell me a date from when that happened, but I asked plainly "did it change from recommended pass to pass?" and the answer was "yes".

Also, she said that my medicals are expired, even tough it has been less than a year of me taking them (my medical appointment was on February 4th 2020). She also said that an officer will evaluate to see if they can be extended or not. I haven't questioned this.

I'm so relieved that it's past from "recommended pass" since I had a change from "recommended pass" to "rejected" early in 2020.
good info. I got my GU on 31st. December. Medical Passed to we do not need...I guess it is asking for extension also. From my knowledge of reading previous cases, it might change back to passed and copr is on the way after.

@Mariams - As per my understanding this document is CoPR under newly defined process, because it says that this document is confirmation of permanent residence and it also has a date.

However, I would like others to respond who have received it recently.

@STEELQ , @adzi113 , ,@annu81 , @veronica_n - Guys, did you receive a CoPR letter different than the stated on this message.
That's the exact message I have on my CoPR.

If you have already file your application, a lawyer cannot do anything more. It is before you file that a lawyer can review your documents and ensure that everything is done in accordance with law.

Now you will just have to wait it out.

As per IRCC's annual 2019 annual report it takes 8-9 months for an application to process.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/annual-report-parliament-immigration-2019.html

How long did it take to process an Express Entry application?
Table 35 displays the time, in months, that IRCC took to process 80% of applications under each program. In 2019, IRCC did not meet the processing standard of finalizing 80% of all applications sourced via Express Entry within six months. The processing time for Express Entry, overall, was eight months. As an alternative measure of processing times, 60% of applications finalized in the 12-month period ending on December 31, 2019, were completed within the six-month service standard.

Table 35: Processing Times for Express Entry applications finalized by year and immigration category, in months
Program201720182019
Canadian Experience Class457
Federal Skilled Worker469
Provincial/Territorial Nominee669
Federal Skilled Trades6712
All Programs558
Source: CIC_EDW (MBR) as of January 3, 2020
Data is operational and as such should be considered preliminary and subject to change.

  • Processing times refer to the time in which 80% of applications were finalized by IRCC. The processing time is measured from the day a complete application is received until the time a final decision is made by an immigration officer.
Thank you for the response. You are a great help.

Why it took them 2 months to send you COPR after everything passed, I feel hopeless now....

Greetings, everyone!

I've just received my GCMS notes. Sharing details below:
AOR: June 10th 2020
Primary Office - CPC Ottawa
Sec Office - Etobicoke
Eligibility, Security, Criminality - Passed
Final - Approved (Nov 26th 2020)

I see that a COPR document (T#########) was created on the same day the assessment was finalized. How long do you guys think it'd take for the COPR to be emailed?

Congratulations for approval!!!

Mine timelines are here :

Approval and CoPR generated : Nov 26 2020
Final Approval in the portal and CoPR email : Jan 12 2021
Primary Office - CPC Ottawa
Secondary Office - Etobicoke

I would suggest to check the CoPR document status field in the notes, for me it was "not started" for a long time.

@Mariam t and @dactoan.nguyen - Any new update on your applications
Yes! today I got my dependant's and my COPR on my email(2 different emails). (I guess I received it 24 hours after I got the update on my account.)
My dependant did not get anything on his email.

Also my letter says I need to send ONE PHOTO AND THE COPPY OF THE LETTER to the Etobicoke Office.
Does not say anything about passport. (maybe because I am from a country that is visa exempted?)

Thanks for all the help!

As per the new landing procedure for inland applicants, they don't require passport to coil any visa because they have done a virtual landing process and the applicant is considered PR from the date mentioned on the letter.

My employee letter did not stated my duties.

Every time I say this people are shocked that "how did you get it to recommended pass?". On the GCMS notes, the analyst even states that "the letter does not state as duties" on the notes.
Its surprising how they choose to reject the application instead of requesting more document or information. Last year, My brother’s application was rejected after 8 months just because the employment letter did not mention the date he started working even though he included 2 years work permits, T4s.
