I'm completely baffled by the process. My bio fee is not refunded but I passed criminality in October, as per my many phone calls.

Not that I care about the money, all I ask for is consistency and transparency.
This is strange. Next time when you call you might discuss the situation. The fingerprint is required by the criminality stage and when it finishes, everything else related to that including refunds should be completed. If you haven't paid your fees with Canadian Credit cards you might expect longer delays before it shows up in your transactions list otherwise ask the agent on the phone for refund detail in your file if there is any.

But some got lucky get passed within week too
yes that's true, probably those without much travel history or have only travelled to Canada.
The workload of the officer assigned to your case should also be factored in, how quickly they can come back to your app to review once all relevant agencies submitted their feedback to your application. :)

Hello all,

I just want to be sure I did the right thing. AOR-June 17 2020. I applied for GCMS notes on Dec 23, 2020 using the directions in the link below:

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...order-gcms-notes-step-by-step-process.513893/

I had also used it in 2019 when my first application was rejected and i got my notes in 30 days. Just want to be sure its still the right way to go and if anyone here has requested using CIC website as shown when you click on the link above. Please let me know...

TIA! :)

What VO is your application in?

Hello guys, How are you all? I have one question.
I got a mail from IRCC regarding to submit basic info for portal link. I did already on Tuesday but haven’t received any portal link yet. My AOR is June 25

I’m just worried about portal link. Can you please help me out. Is it common. Any one please share your time line for getting portal link.

Thanks in advance

Hi @legalfalcon
I am PA, My spouse passport expired in December and to renew it I should travel back from my country of residence to my home country. Should I wait until IRCC request the renewed one or I should renew it now as it may jeopardize my application. Travel is not easy and it will require Two weeks Quarantine one here and another in my home country. appreciate your support and advice.

Officer needs to manually flip that bio section to completed.

When would officers do that?
I think I am on the same boat. They have never touched my application since October and last time I called in Dec, my bio is pending in their system when it is updated completed in my profile.

You eventually have to renew it before your application is finalized. When is the best time to do that? That depends on your personal circumstances.

When? -- It's pure conjecture, depends on when the officer assigned to your case can go back to your file to review the results and assess your criminality. From my experience. I gave bio around mid October and my criminality and file was passsed and approved the same day after 7 weeks.

My biometric was updated on October 15th. And my application had no change since then.

Same, my IRCC profile still shows in progress / submitted. I got to know that my app was approved when I received my GCMS notes. I got the PR confirmation portal email just last week, a little over a month after my application was approved.
