I read somewhere else that this happened for other people. Still, they gave me a BIL so I think I'd still have to give it anyway. It would make sense for them to re-use existing ones given the pandemic, but oh well.

Also, they asked for RCMP check.

Edit: I posted too quickly, MEP passed a few mins after posting :)

When did you do your WP biometrics?

When did you do your WP biometrics?
Aug 2019.

I've seem this happening in other threads, so I'm not sure what it really means. Hopefully it means they'll continue to process in the meantime and not hold up the application.

Congrats! Mine isn't but I just submitted receipt of the one I did in January for a closed WP. Hopefully they accept that.
I highly doubt they will. I doubt it's intentional that the previous biometrics were linked, since they didn't actually waive the BIL for PR.

Congratulations, how many days did they give to submit RCMP?

I hear you. One can only hope. And it seems some have gone through without having to do them again.

It would make perfect sense, though, to start using the current biometrics to process the application. They're doing that for temporary visa applications (work/study/visit) in Canada.

They gave 60 days, though I expect to get it done much sooner

Where do you intent to get the RCMP check done, have the centres opened.

Anyone still waiting for Medical updates? My AOR Date is Jun 01 but I haven't seen any updates on my profiles except the following (receipt for the additional fee)

My biometrics field is populated with information from my last biometrics given in Jan 2020. I've also got a request for a RCMP check. I plan to get it done at the city police station today. I called RCMP and they said to get it done at my local police station.
update: completed Certified Criminal Record Check. relatively easy process. Bring 2 pieces of Cad ID with proof of address, $75. Took about 10 minutes. Results will be mailed to your address.

I got my biometrics populated from an earlier application too. Wonder why they're doing this as they also issued BIL.

I'm hoping Canada Services opens up biometrics collection services soon. If it's safe enough for children to go back to school in September, it's safe enough for them to go back to their normal routine as well.
