Another Mississauga applicant here... it's quite demotivating to read all these accounts of how people have to wait up to 18 months for the process to be over. After completing the 3 year PR process, you'd think the citizenship part won't take that long. We've done our 3 year due diligence, why are they making the process to get the passport so long!

I'm a June applicant and I am ready to call them the day it's been a year long wait since they received my application. It's ridiculous and I was told that the process won't take longer than a year - so disappointed and feels like a waste of the $600 spent.

Not sure who told you that it won’t take longer than a year.
You’ve not wasted your money; you could withdraw your application. I am positive that, they’d refund you the fees.

I am in the same boat as you, went through the same long process for PR as well...so it is disappointing when you see so much inefficiency and inconsistency within the applications from the same province. Not sure if you have seen previous forums dating back to March 2018! those Mississauga applicants are all fed up too. if you read through it seems CIC offices have tried to process Scarborough by relocating files to Mississauga when Scarborough had backlog. Then Mississauga started piling up and then they send some Mississauga to Scarborough so not clear what's going on, but this switching is ongoing which seems didn't help at least Mississauga.

I would do the same if I don't hear by 12 months. This is the only way to ask them to follow up on Mississauga and the more people calling them may help.

Yesterday(05/07/2019) i cleared my test got 19/20 and my status on E-CAS changed to "DECISION MADE".
It was almost 250 + days of wait to write the test.

Good Luck Everyone!!!!!

I'm a lurker here for while but i have decided to write my experience hoping others may get some idea and to the extent not lose hope on their waiting struggle. As the saying goes, "Patience is a virtue"..

Submitted application for citizenship - June 14, 2018
AOR - August 16, 2018
Processed application - August 28, 2018
Sent notice for Citizenship test - February 11, 2019
Citizenship Test - March 19, 2019
Got DM - Match 21, 2019
Received notice via email to attend the Citizenship ceremony - April 23, 2019
Citizenship Ceremony - May 10, 2019
Location: Vancouver

The citizenship test was very straight forward. Only 20 questions. To pass, one must answer 15 correct and only 5 mistakes. I aced got 20/20. There will be a short interview after the test. Routine questions like your marital status, kind of work you have and other. They will also ask for your passport and check the travel history.

I filed my application in Vancouver.

Yes, hopefully the volume of calls might help and maybe setting up a meeting with the MP of my area in Mississauga to figure out what the delay is. I have to travel for work quite a bit and I thought I would be done the process by end of summer 2019...but it doesn't seem like the case, unfortunately. Guess it's time to apply for visas.

Had my oath ceremony yesterday in Scarborough. Glad to finally be done with immigration and whatnot after a fun 10 years. I had my test last month, and was offered a ceremony the next day, which I couldn't accept (I'm a lawyer and had a matter to deal with in court). However, I received my invite the next week. So if you have to turn down that next day offer, there's a good chance you'll get an invite for the next ceremony. Also, I got a paid day off of work for the ceremony ( I work for a large company), I would suggest everybody check their HR benefits, because you might be entitled to it as well. Cheers!
