Guys... How does biometrics affect the processing time of application?
When it was newly introduced and August applicants wete getting PPRs in 40-50days, I thought it was going to speed up the processing for you guys. But right now I don't think it has any effect. Neither positive or negative.

@tobs he/she meant to fill your mouth with sweets for your sweet words (usual way of thanking someone in India for kind thoughts and words)
Thank you Prashant and welcome back, we missed you.

Has anybody whose original VO wasn’t NDVO and mailed them has actually received their passport back or at least gotten an approved on their CIC account? Because that’s why I haven’t mailed them, maybe they are mindlesly sending PPR to anyone who mails them and then sh*t hits the fan when they don’t know what to do with the passport of an application that wasn’t proccessed there and it’s from the other side of the world.
I'll definitely update you cos I know you guys are waiting .
@JenineJac got a new PPR issued though after NDVO's

Just caught up with last 400-425 messages that happened while I was on my vacation.

Congratulations @tobs @TOFluv and all others who got their due recently!

@Nishika22 I guess it is now time to officially downsize our ark to a Ferry...number of people waiting for PPR is getting lower and lower...still hoping for the best.
Hehehe...agreed! A ferry it has become - let us hope we soon get to the other side too

Haha.. well I'm not completely out of it yet. I still need a new PPR issued but I know it'll work out.

No I don't think delay is because of your travel history .. I have no travel history outside the country still with security not started..
@richa1987 shared the same experience too! In that case, I give up! We’re just in a random patch of bad luck - which will end in 2019, and a good thing the year of our good fortune has already begun ;)

You crib a lot.... :P
You are at least certain that your PPR is generated. Change of VO or COPR is imminent.

why were you asked to redo your medicals?
My husband's and my medicals were expiring in February 2019. IRCC asked us to redo them as they expire in less than 90 days and cannot be reassessed. I'd like to believe they done processing most of our file but cannot issue a PPR email as our medicals expire so soon, maybe thats wishful thinking but things seem to be moving fast on our file and hopefully, we receive our PPR sooner than later. :)

You Will!
I'm just extremely curious but was there a reason why you did your medicals 5 months before submitting your application?

Good. I'll also pay my local VFS a visit tomorrow to hear what they have to say for myself. @TOFluv FYI
That would be really helpful cos I won't be able to go to VFS office till next week. Although I read a post on Nairaland about a month ago of someone who submitted the new Delhi PPR letter at VFS and at the time he was posting his application status had changed to approved and was only waiting for his stamped passport. I'm trying to look for the post now but can't seem to find it

:) Thank you tobs (and cansha too)
It is true, I had read the last pages only superficially since returning from holidays, and I had not understood that there was an option for people from other countries to email NDVO.
I am based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As you have suggested, I will contact my local vfs to check if the NDVO is viable for me.
Marina, look at my posts (through my profile).

I too know of someone that was able to submit the new Delhi letter three weeks ago without any questions. But I guess they changed their minds or something
I'll go there tomorrow and let you know how it went.
