I had a ghost update, but I call IRCC and nothing change.....

They give me and extension for medical on May 28th and ircc told me thet this extencion it's only for 6 months....

Some in the same situation?

A ghost update at this stage means someone reviewed/approved your file. Since they have not asked for any ADR after the GU, I would consider being closer to approval. All the best! I hope 2018 applicants get cleared in the next few months. My AOR is Oct 2018 and I have not heard back from them since March 2020.

I am more and more sad and frustrated by this situation. Here below is the mail I received from CPC Ottawa as a reply to the mail I sent to them after crossing the six months.

"Good day,
Please be informed that your application is currently in queue for review by an officer. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a date on which your file will be reviewed.
Please be assured that you will be contacted immediately should further information be required or regarding the next steps in your file.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Regards,"

As a conclusion, my file has been in the queue and untouched for six months, which later applications jump the queue to the treated.

Today recived this request for my wife.
Someone in the same boat.....

"Please send a photocopy of a passport that currently has a validity date beyond 6,months.
Your visa cannot be issued until receipt of the requested copy of a valid passport.
Please note " Do not submit original passports until iRCC requests them...

I called IRCC and they said that security still on progress.....
