My timeline in my signature.
ooooooooooooooo niceeee

Okay guys.. while it seems I'll have to wait sometime that obviously and painfully can not be predicted in any way, I've ordered GCMS notes on the 5th of the current month, expecting to receive it on the first week of November, for those who know what should I look for in those notes? what would be disturbing & what to perceive as a good sign ?
FSW-O & to my misery, not a US resident!
Single applicant, no travel history.amd simple work experience.
AOR : 30 July, MEP : 22 August, IP1 : 23 August , nothing further since then.
I know um a July applicant , but U guys can be more resourceful than those of July.
@ishq74 ur help would be appreciated

Hi guys,

AOR 8th june
MEP JUNE 19TH
No changes since IP1 19TH JUNE
This morning background check has changed from application is in progress to we are processing.
I have also received my GCMS today. Eligibility Recommend pass and CEC- MET which was done on June 28th CPC-Vegreville and file transferred to CPC- Ottawa.
As per GCMS security and Criminality hasn't started dated on Oct 18th. I wonder, background check status has changed this morning which is little good sign. But, it made me think did they just start background check ?? If so, this will take months from now. Its already close to 5 months.
Is anyone go through the same situation ?

Note that GCMS notes are generated on the date you requested, not when you receive them, so I don't think you'd have any info about October 18 (unless you received them within a week)

Repeating the question again- Can someone help please?
I think my visa office is Ottawa (I live in the US), and they have asked to submit passport documents in 30 days. I have to travel first week of December and will need my passport for that. How long does the stamping in Ottawa take?
Thanks

I would say post this in another forum of canadavisa.com
Also, search for "PPR to COPR Process"
I would also advice to see the below trackers to get a rough idea.

My AOR is 8th June too. As per GCMS notes generated on 27th Sep and received it yesterday, Eligibility: Not Started, Security: Not Started, Criminality: In Progress, Primary Office: Vegreville. I called CIC on 17th Oct and got to know that my file was transferred to CPC- Ottawa.

Ottawa is very fast in returning passports. Upto a week.

Quick questions:
What is the most important information I should look at in my GCMS notes? Is this the information on the 1st page? What about if I found the information in the notes is incorrect?
Thanks,

What information you think is incorrect?

Check last few pages where you will see detailed analyst notes.

@cansha I had an interesting conversation today.

So I called today to check if they got the last info I sent as it has been over a month and no reply to my email.

He put me on hold and when he came back his first question was how I ordered notes from outside of Canada. I explained and then I was shocked to hear that I had requested GCMS notes not once but 7 times!!! He was not impressed he explained that every time you order notes the case officer has to put your case on a brief hold to send the notes to the department that handles the editing and distribution. He also said each time that must be done it delays the processing of not only your case but that of others that the officer had to process as well. He explained that it should only be ordered after 6 months if at all.
I was very worried about the 7 orders and asked if I should be concerned. He went back to check the dates for me. It turns out 6 were on the same day that I requested them and the 7th was the next day. He said perhaps the firm I used had a glitch and that's why it was so many times. I apologised and explained that I was unaware that it affected the case agent and the cases. After that he was a lot more pleasant and friendly. He reassured me that they had received the information I sent (my reason for calling) and that I had nothing to worry about as everything was fine and they were almost complete. He didn't comment on the individual statuses and I didn't want to ask as it may have been rude.
