ok family, I seriously wanna know something... what would knowing Visa office Weill do. People say Sydney is slow.. I would say no.. because and few others got in 1month.. then people say Ottawa is slow, I would say no, because many people there also got in 1 month and few days... So all this is subjective... what you guys should focus upon is what documentation you provided which can cause delay.

1. Example PCC, Travel history, POF( keep an eye on exchange rate), employment documentation. If all that is good, it is not the centre but the officer , which may or may not delay. Because even office waits for certain agencies for answers. for example . background: RCMP, and intelligence etc. education: , employment: validity of company etc. Big companies no issues, small ones they might have to dig things. Travel: this can screw things up, ehhehe too many hops add some delay.

Rest enjoy guys, when mine was in process, check it out, I just used go post my progress and used to write fingers crossed and approx dates. No comparison ever.

Enjoy life guys.. once you guys make it here, lets meet and party
Hi Sid,

I called CIC recently, the agent told me that my eligibility has passed and only the security check is left. Any idea on how long do they take to complete this step? What comes under security check?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know what happens when you get CoPR inside Canada and you want to flight out internationally? I am not sure if I need to wait for PR card first as I have seen some posts saying you need to request PR card when flying back into Canada at PoE? Which one is true for Canadian residents?

Thanks

I believe I found the answer. It looks that after receiving the CoPR one needs to contact CIC so they schedule an appointment in the nearest immigration office. As far as I understand after this appointment and landing is completed, the next and final step will be taken which is the PR card.

If anyone here knows the answer please confirm.

Thanks

Hi my aor is 23 June still background check not started
Do not worry. There are many on this forum who have AOR earlier than you and their eligibility has not been done yet (including mine AOR 19 June). As many people on this forum will tell you every case is different and some are lucky to get PPR earlier than others. The average estimated time is 6 months and you're just at 2 month mark.

I got ADR on 8/15 for Common-Law with spouse with i submitted all documents on 8/20 and received PPR email on 8/21. Good luck to rest of the group.
That is awesome. All the best.
