Did your background check initiate by then ? When did you move to the hypothetical IP2.

No background check was not initiated and to be honest, I don't think I ever moved into IP2, I got the mail directly

My best guess is that Eligibility might have been recommended by not passed by Visa Officer. Actually with stages I mean that whether it's Document check, Medical, Criminality, BG or Security all these are looked into by an analyst who recommends each one and the Visa Officer authorized it as Passed.

Do not overthink on chances of rejection if your profile and documentation is accurate and truthful then it would all work out soon.

I understand and trust me I was exactly the same but I made myself ridiculously busy at work and home, just didn't get the time to dwell upon the outcome.

All June AOR will get through in next 2-3 weeks, I think. Unless there are some exceptional queries

Just to share with you all, I have finally received my Passport request mail.

My AOR was 23rd June and there was no movement since 31st July post an ADR request and yesterday morning I got the much-awaited email.

I have few queries, I was hoping experts in the forum with experience can put me in the right direction or shed some light, please

• I asked this before but couldn’t get a confirmed response, when does the medical validity expire,1 year from medical pass date or 1 year from the medical test taken date?
• Also, if you are only soft landing and returning back to your current country within 15 days, you would not have had the chance to pick up yr PR cards, where does this leave you? Can someone from Canada receive yr PR card and courier it over in DHL? Is this allowed? Do you have to provide a consent letter? If this is not allowed, what is the workaround to this?
• This is a fantastic forum, should form a WhatsApp group, if there is one already, can I join in pls.

I wish everyone waiting gets through at the earliest. I was Ottawa office and since July I didn’t have any updates and straight away this mail day before yesterday.

1. 1 year from the day you have taken the test. My GCMS notes confirmed this.
2. As far as I know, you can provide a card delivery address and someone can courier you later. No consent needed.

ADR Status changed to : "Additional Documents you have provided have been uploaded - Oct 26th, 2018

Ordered GCMS Notes - 13th Oct

I would want to highlight that I do have an extensive travel history. Need to know the below based on experienced views -

- My PoF (initially submitted) was way above the required limit, why would a ADR still be requested?
- If a ADR for PoF is requested after IP2, does it imply that the eligibility is still not completed ?
- My ADR is currently "We are reviewing the additional documents you provided", how long does it NORMALLY
take for this to change to N/A
- Does it make sense to order GCMS Notes now given my change to the hypothetical IP2 now ?

Sharing my understanding for your 1st 2 questions:
1. Medical Expires 1 year from date of test.
2. Yes someone else can receive it for you by post on their address but you need to ensure that the same address had been updated on applying for PR card else your next entry is going to be troublesome.

Can your elaborate the detail of your ADR about POF?

What was the time stated in your ADR Request ? Have read elsewhere that the file pops in back in queue once time provided expires !

I was given 7 days to submit. While most of other IP2 folks receive their pprs within a week of their ip2, I'm still waiting even after 17 days.

Can’t say why ADR was asked without knowing what prof you provided. My guess is there were fluctuations in the account and they wanted to be sure.

It’s possible that the ADR was requested by visa officer and recommended by analyst. So most likely they were confirming your eligibility.

It takes 2-3 weeks based on other experiences shared by members. But status is not updated always so don’t read too much into it

You can order notes but in my experience if you got ADR in <4 months most likely your VO is Ottawa and you can expect a PPR in two weeks. If you don’t get in two weeks go ahead and order GCMS notes

What exactly have they asked in adr?

I showed Bank Statements and a Balance certificate. I have accounts in 2 countries, showed both. As in one is ny salary and another one is my savings. I also have a mortgage. Am curious as to how they treat mortgages ?
