most of govt offices closed till 7 jan...and yes IRCC will be open but will with limited resources , so don hope much in coming weeks
Can you put down your conversation here? It will be interesting for everyone to know, how and what to talk.
Even I'm surprised to read that your Criminality took 3 months to pass! I had 2 PCCs - India and Mauritius - and mine started and ended the same day (day I moved to IP2 - 26Oct18). This is both as per my call to an agent as well as Ralph's email. Anyways, in the long haul, we might be in the same shoes, as my security is yet to begin...so both of us are currently stuck at the same 'last mile'My first GCMS was generated on Sep 6 which has "Criminality - In Progress" and it got completed on Dec 14. I have read people saying that Criminality is cleared based on the PCC you submit, wondering why did it take more than 3 months in my case.
Thank God IRCC will be open! Limited resources or not, we definitely need them working round the clock to ensure that June does not show a more dismal state of affairs that its preceding months by far - as it threatens to do at the current pace of a little over 60% applications processed in more than 5.5 monthsmost of govt offices closed till 7 jan...and yes IRCC will be open but will with limited resources , so don hope much in coming weeks

I have no faith in those statuses unless they say "Passed". One candidate whose file was in Montreal had ordered GCMS notes on PPR-2 days mark. So basically he ordered GCMS notes and PPR came in after two days. When the notes arrived after a month I asked him what was the status of criminality and security as per GCMS notes on PPR-2 days mark. As per GCMS notes both were "Not Started". Now how can both be done within 2 days is a big mystery. So I don't know what to make of those statuses unless they say "Passed" or "Completed".My first GCMS was generated on Sep 6 which has "Criminality - In Progress" and it got completed on Dec 14. I have read people saying that Criminality is cleared based on the PCC you submit, wondering why did it take more than 3 months in my case.
I'd actually recommend ordering another set of GCMS notes. Don't know if calling helps as much as forcing agents to go through the file with a fine tooth-comb under the GCMS option. And, you've already raised a webform and received a response, so that lifeline is exhausted for the time being is how I see it...The first time I ordered my GCMS, I got to know my Eligibility is met, the second time, I moved to IP2 the day my notes were generated, the third time I ordered them was on 26th Nov, and I'm still in wait and watch mode as its early days yet But, I can certainly say its the best way of KNOWING what's happening, rather than relying on an indifferent call agent, or taking your chances with a helpful agent manning CIC emails.got an email from CIC for my 'passes 6 months' web form. In stead of that generic reply 'you case is taking longer.... blah blah blah', the agent actually said he has forwarded a note to the responsible department about my case. Clear this guy saw what I saw in my GSCM note that my case was approved and COPR was created on Nov 1st. Better than the call center women yesterday who kept telling me 'case is still under review, no final decision yet', she just wanted to end the call. I mean based on those folks who got actual helpful info from call center agent, it's clear, if they want, they can access more info and do something about it. She can clear see the same info as in my GSCM note if not more.
Really hope this email agent really helped though..... Not sure if I want to call them again... any advice?

Chill dude - I'm in Mauritius Here, Xmas starts on 1st Dec and goes on till the second week of Jan. So, when you tell me it lasts for 2.5 weeks - 1.5 in Dec and 1 in Jan - I'm like, you should see how things are in our side of town I'm happy to pass the time on this beautiful and peaceful island till I get my PPR and get thrown into an exciting yet chaotic life in Canada. Counting my blessings here till the next adventure beginswhen I say limited.. u should get idea like nothin... 24 no one would work its half day officially. 25 is holiday .. most of govt people will take off for 3 days...becasue 1 is again a holiday ... so tech 1.5 weeks gone Der... and till 7 most highr offices are out...
this is perhaps the best advice. unless you need to get update within a month period or need to make any specific enquiry it is better to stick with gcms/atip.I'd actually recommend ordering another set of GCMS notes. Don't know if calling helps as much as forcing agents to go through the file with a fine tooth-comb under the GCMS option. I think that is fair. Whatever the official holidays may be, my experience in US always has been things are stagnant at least 24 Dec - 1 Jan. Yes officially there may be only 3 holidays but most people try to make most of it and take vacation days. Yes it doesn't mean 100% of the people will take vacation but even in my office I can say 80% people do.keep on reading that link.... Personally, I'm hopeful only till 19th Dec after that if things move I would consider it a bonus but won't really count on it.
