Is it a family sponsorship application?
I suggest you request for a refund of the overpaid fee. They'll refund you.

Congrats to everyone who got PPR from NDVO. Seems like many of those were also stuck in Sydney. So, at least some of us did get some respite.

Other than that, seems like another boring and dull day is in store. Early mornings are indications of PPR rains. I guess just one more day to go now. After that it will be a long silence.

How long does it take to approve the application? In IP2 since November 2nd. Spoke with IRCC last week when they informed that the security is in progress. Have not travelled outside india
Wow and I was thinking that my super extensive travel history is the reason its taking so long.

That's also another myth I think. Humans are wired to try and rationalize events and we try to find reasons why things may not be working the way they should be. I have seen many people with extensive travel history reporting PPR in 3/4 months (I know extensive is a bit subjective). But truth is in 90% of delayed cases the reason has nothing to do with the application. There is only one reason. Your file has not been touched by a visa officer.

If we go by the number of PPR's issued during same time last year...there are only 3 days (including weekend) when no PPRs were issued...and I am still hopeful to see a 19th Dec rain :)

Mon, 18th Dec - 15
Tue, 19th Dec - 59
Wed, 20th Dec - 18
Thu, 21st Dec - 17
Fri, 22nd Dec - 10
Sat, 23rd Dec - 4
24th, 25th & 26th - 0 (Weekend + Holiday)
Wed, 27th Dec - 6

I hope so too buddy! I also think 19th is going to be a big one. In the list more interesting is 28th Dec. But as they say in mutual funds ads, past performance is not an indication of future results. Let's hope the trend holds for 19th Dec though.

Not to play spoilsport but December 19th mostly saw CEC PPRs. Plus, I don't think that date holds any significance to see the action being repeated this year. It just happened last year. This year, it could be December 20/21.

I know. In fact, numbers have reduced by almost 50% if we compare month on month...and this somehow goes against their target of 1 million immigrants before 2020 and 310 thousand in 2018 (news link below)..for some reason I still can't digest this and I think may be it's just less people reporting their cases on myimmitracker this year..

Jul: 2017 - 530 | 2018 - 310
Aug: 2017 - 685 | 2018 - 269
Sep: 2017 - 609 | 2018 - 256
Oct: 2017 - 470 | 2018 - 271
Nov: 2017 - 451 | 2018 - 290
Dec: 2017 - 352 | 2018 - 96 so far

Do you know if there is a way of comparing number of cases from 2017 and number of cases from 2018? Maybe that would help clarify whether less people are reporting :)
And wow, December only a 27 % of last years PPRs. Even to reach 50 % they have to step it up in the next couple of days...

yes it could be less reporting. on top of that if you check the average time people waited from aor to ppr - last dec it was 100 days on average, this year 160 days. this is just plain sad.

Have anyone seen this type of letter from CIC asking for additional documents:

AOR: June 21 2018
ADR 1: July 5 2018. In letter, it said "In order for us to continue the review of your application, we require the following document" (IMM5475)
ADR 2: Dec 11 2018. In letter, it said "We have begun processing your application for permanent residence, and in order to make a decision we require the following information/documents" (IMM 5669)

==> Why could they say "have begun processing" in ADR2 letter after 5.5 months of sending ADR1 letter??? Does this mean I will wait another 6 months? T.T
